Myself, husband and children were passing on holiday when my eldest daughter said that's a weatherspoons we looked and decided to go in for dinner, what a place this is inside we were all in shock it's so beautiful. We used the app to order food and drinks which came quickly food was lovely and staff were friendly and smiley added bonus! would recommend to others!
Came here nearly all week as on holiday in area brilliant spoons never had a bad meal and service was good! Good job guys Free parking around the city/pub after 6pm nice old building!
Lovely pub, typical spoons tho, toilets on top floor, but made a change pittling above the pulpit of a church, but the decor and stained glass windows are fantastic.
Great place to eat, drink and meet friends. Can be very busy at times but if you have the Wetherspoons app it's a good queue jumper and you get served quicker. Great selection of food and drinks all set in a good atmosphere and comfy setting. Located centrally and close to the bus station. A good place if you are on a budget for food or drink. Good place for groups to meet staff are very friendly. Great for breakfast too!
Was a nice place for lunch. Plenty of seating. Staff were pleasant. Menu was standard for a Wetherspoons and the quality of food was of a similar standard.
One of the more unusual wetherspoons I've visited as it's a converted church complete with pulpit! Very good selection of food and drinks including eight real ales an impressive selection. Both food and drink at rock bottom prices but good quality. I had the sirloin and chips and a sweet all were fine and served quickly with little waiting time. If you are in the area give it a try you won't regret it.
I like Wetherspoon's pubs and find their food very good and reasonably priced. There were four of us in for an evening meal /drinks and we enjoyed the food. However, as it was my first visit, I found the place very cold, without much atmosphere and was glad to get back home. The staff were good and very happy to help, but the lack of atmosphere and the lack of heat were off-putting. Not for me.
Stress free ordering on the app. Staff are absolutely lovely, I think it helps they're working with such an efficient system, no nonsense! And the value of the food and drink is famously cheap! But don't let that fool you either, food is fantastic, better than some restaurant's that charge twice the price!
Been coming here for years nice to pop in and get a couple of drinks or to have some food. Food menu has had some new things added and you can't complain as everything is so reasonably priced. A lovely pizza and a glass of wine can't beat it and prices are great when everyone is on a budget.
Went for lunch. Not so busy. Waited 30 minutes. When food arrived it was barely warm. Chips were just warmish, Burger was barely above ambient and the onion rings were totally cold. Nothing was hot, nor freshly cooked. Beer was cheap.. We will have lunch elsewhere in future.
