Story

‘The Lounges’ are informal, neighbourhood food led cafe/bars open all-day everyday where families, friends, and locals can come for a coffee, a drink, or something to eat in a relaxed comfortable environment.
The Lounge menu is available all-day and offers a wide range of dishes including an extensive brunch menu, a selection of proper-job burgers, a great selection of tapas, & more restaurant-in-style monthly specials. There is an extensive selection of coffee/tea, cakes and pastries, smoothies and fresh juice, and a small selection of wines, draught beers & cocktails.
The interiors are comfortable, inviting, and a bit eccentric. The photos, a great majority of which feature Dave’s (co-founder) grandparents, are weird and slightly unnerving?!
We’ve got a variety of board games available for either children or adults, daily newspapers to read, a kids menu (& highchairs), & a free neighbourhood book swap (bring an old book & swap it with a book in the bookcase).
Think of us as your home-from-home.

Popped in for lunch whilst taking the kids and dogs for a walk in New Brighton and wow oh wow we will be returning again staff were brilliant it was so busy so unsurprisingly there was a little wait for food but staff were so apologetic and the food was worth the wait kids portions are bit and the food was delicious defo recommend calling in for food and dog friendly
I had a great evening here with my friends. It has a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and a fantastic menu. They also had a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The only thing was that a round of drinks was a little expensive. However, I will be back here again
Went on a Sunday lunchtime and it got quite busy after we arrived. Five of us one vegan all had different meals and all happy with what was served. £70ish for all food and drinks.Food: 5/5
Me and my twin went in recently for our birthday. Our experience was 11/10. From being greeted on the door, to the vegan menu offered and the food. Not only that but the service was amazing and so attentive. We had such a great time, especially with it being dog friendly! I went back the week after with my parents they loved it! My new favourite spot for excellent vegan breakfast! We had the big vegan brunch and it was well worth the money we finished every last piece Can’t wait to take the boyfriend next!! Dietary restrictions: Excellent vegan and gluten free menu, they also double check for any allergies!!
I don’t leave reviews often but I could eat here every week! Lovely vegan options and affordable for what you get! Lovely atmosphere and dog friendly, sometimes can get a bit busy though. Vegetarian options: Good vegan options
Absolutely wonderful dog-friendly restaurant with an expansive gluten-free menu. The food was delicious maybe a bit less so for the spice-averse like my mum! and the staff were incredibly helpful when it came to ordering allergy-safe food. I always feel very safe eating here as someone with multiple allergies, and my one and only critique is that I wish they delivered so I could enjoy their food even more often!
Had a fantastic birthday meal last night with my wife and daughter. Food was amazing, I had the cowboy smashed burger, and the ladies had chicken burgers, one with bacon and avocado, and my wife had the chicken Kiev variation. Everything was spot on and I love the Brixton pale ale they serve there. Great quirky furniture and decor. A bit like going back in time to your nans house, but brilliant atmosphere.. Overall, can't recommend the place enough.

Potentially could be great. However. Fairy long wait for food, the waitress wasn't the happiest & the table was sticky. The food was ok. Had a cheeseburger with chips and coleslaw. The burger was tasty enough, but the chips were very greasy and the coleslaw portion was tiny! The atmosphere was pleasant. In summary, it was ok, but nothing to write home about.
Beautiful place to meet friends and have a meal. Great staff. The vegan menu could do with some new ideas. Once you've eaten everything 12 times, you're in the mood for something new. Vegetarian options: There's a separate vegan menu. Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gliten free menu. Parking: Seaside, hundreds of places. Wheelchair accessibility: Level ground and no steps.
