It's a Maplin, very much the same as every one I've been in, the only issue with every Maplin, and it's not just Maplin, but I really don't like people rushing up to me trying to assist when I'm right in front of the item I'm going to buy. The store is great and has what I need, it's the harassment that gets the 3 stars.
Shockingly appaulling attitude towards customers is probably the best way to describe Dan the assistant manager. I went in on Saturday to find him and one his collegues stood near to the door. When I asked for help on what I was looking for he rudely told me I had the worng shop for one item then dirrected his young collegue to show me the other. Upon coming back to pay for the item I had selected. He served me he near enough threw my change at me and was very unhelpful in genral. My advice is Maplins if your staff dont want to talk to customers or work saturdays or what ever elese his problem was. Then maybe he should be given the oppertunity to step down and let someone who does want to be the face and role model of your company. I wont be going back thats for sure and you only got 1 star as you cant select none!
Good sized Maplin with a full range of products offering click and collect. Used to be my favourite place for audio bits and bobs, but prices are not very competitive nowadays in there.
Typical Maplin store is, busy at weekends staff helpful, offers do rum out quickly, check online first before you visit.
Biggest maplin I've been in, so much choice and everything I could needwant was easy to find, and if it wasn't the staff were very helpful

No bad place for shopping, they match price from other shops. In the past they even match amazon prices. Will come back there.
