Once upon a time you'd walk into Currys and you'd get swamped by over eager staff wanting to help. Now you can search the entire store for 20 minutes and you're lucky to find someone who might be able to help you buy the TV you've had picked out and ready to buy. Dont get me wrong, the store is impressive and the range of stock they have on display but is so much quicker and easier to check out what you want then go buy it online.
I’ve been stood in the shop for 3/4 hour waiting for someone on phone section to help. Loads of staff stood around. Asked someone for help to be told only the one member of staff on phone section. But same bloke came over several times to help that one person sort something. Absolutely rediculous. Staff stood around at returns doing nothing but chatting.
A guy at the entrance passive-aggressively told me I couldn’t return a product that another member of staff happily sorted for me. I only had to return it because when I originally bought it, no one could tell me what features it had.nnSome individual lovely staff members, but clearly some terrible ones too.
Went to purchase a small tablet. Got seen quite quickly, but the assistant was arrogant, rude and clearly couldn't care less about his job or us as customers. He told us that there was only 1 available at the size we wanted and at quite a high price. There clearly wasn't and more choice was available. We purchased one in the end by asking questions etc. Anyway, when we went to to till, he was uncourteous, didn't smile once and when we said thank you and goodbye, he ignored us completely. Will never be going to that branch again! Awful experience
Went in to purchase a 15w wireless charger, the only 15w available were locked on the shelf, stood for a while seeing if anyone would come and help as there were lots of staff standing around, no one came so I went and approached two at the front, they advised only the guy on the phone stand had a key and I’d have to wait for him, stood there for ages waiting whilst he was dealing with another customer and had to walk away in the end as I couldn’t wait any longer. Ridiculous that when there are so many free staff around no one could just get a key from this guy so I could make a purchase! Shall purchase elsewhere
