Find the staff very arrogant here, tried to call up for information on a product and spoke with someone whom should NOT be answering the phones.  Had a very poor (couldn't be bothered) attitude.

The people there were very nice because I went to buy a new ram for my desktop PC (8gb) and when I got home I cut the edges of the pack to open it while my brother was opening my PC for me BUT there was a problem. My PC had a laptops ram so I took it back the next day and told the guy at the till and he said a straight no but when I was looking at the ram I needed one of the other staff members came over and asked do you want to just do a straight swap and I told him "yes" so he went and checked on his PC and he said "yes I can just do a straight swap and since the laptop ram is cheaper than the desktop one  by 5 pounds you also get cash back worth 5 pounds" and I said that I didn't even want the cashback just the ram swap I was that upset and he basically just gave me that 5 pound extra back aswell so I really recommend maplin more than even Curry's PC world. Maplin us just the place to go to find out what you can do with gadgets or just help with tech in general

Helpful staff (as in ask maplins) with a decent selection of project bits and pieces

Loads of gadgets and all you'd need for fixing and altering wiring on the likes of a project bike. Also diy kits for kids to teach them about how circuit boards work..wish there'd been one closer to home when I was younger.
