Service was excellent, very attentive and fast most of the time we spent there. The food was overall very good, although we did have the steak where they didn’t ask how we wanted it cooked, I also forgot to mention when ordering, then we waited around 25 minutes for an almost cold and rare steak which was a little bit of a party killer, but the 4 other dishes we tried were excellent. And no one told us the kitchen would close at 15:30 so that was a bit of a surprise. The place was full and the open kitchen makes the atmosphere amazing, although if you sit right under the kitchen window in the dining room, you do get scared they will accidentally drop something on you when they, almost, throw the bowls they use for cooking around. Overall very good and I would love to give their dinner menu a try as well.
Have always wanted to go here, it was great but didn’t blow me away, delicious nonetheless.nnThe menu is varied, great pastas with a range of other dishes which were interesting. Sharing concept, we had three starters and three pastas with two sides and weren’t stuffed but satisfied. The cocktail list is very disappointing, but they do offer classic cocktails on demand.nnStaff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is chilled but the tables are VERY tight and close together, I’m petite and had to squeeze in!nnWorth a try, but not anything exceptional.
Had a lovely meal at Manteca. We were celebrating a birthday, we were seated in the corner window table which was nice. The tables are very close together but honestly it didn’t impact our meal. It was a nice experience to see the kitchen and to watch the fresh pasta being rolled and measured, it really added to the visit!nnThe food was absolutely delicious. It is small plates, so don’t go expecting to have a massive bowl of pasta, but the idea is to share, which is exactly what our table did and we had more than enough food between us.nnService was great, they even bought out a little dessert and candle for the birthday girl.nnI would definitely return, but would probably save it for a special occasion.
Recommended by a local friend. We were able to secure a day-of reservation on a Saturday. The room of hanging meats on the way downstairs was confidence inspiring and the meal was solid and enjoyable. The menu and vibe were similar to trendy Italian restaurants in LA, along with the prices about 80£ / person. The steak was tender but missing some sear or char. Our group's favorites were all the appetizers. Good luck!
Throughly enjoyed my first visit here. The food was very good and interesting. By far the Beef Battuta was my favourite dish I had, and I would argue the Pheasant dish was a bit underwhelming although the leek mayonnaise was delicious. The staff were super nice, explained the menu well, and provided a great service. The interior and atmosphere was very warm and modern, making it a perfect smart-casual place for lunch. A through and through enjoyable experience! I would certainly be up for coming back again.
