Came here for a birthday lunch and while we had to wait a while for a table it was well worth it and we knew ahead of time that there is generally a bit of a wait plenty of nice cafes and pubs on the road. The pasta was delicious and the staff were friendly, great lively atmosphere!
This is such a lovely place, not far from Tower Bridge that serves pastas and Italian specialties, with really nice vibe.nWe ordered pappardelle and carbonara, the ragu is really nice, and the spaghetti is creamy. A tortelloni is added after we finished, the pork shoulder is with an incredible texture. The portion is not very big, but it’s still nice to taste some other things in one meal.nMust mention that the vibe in the restaurant is very convivial. Every member here has a real positive mindset and one can easily feel the energy emitting.n@Joe thanks for your jokes and that made our dinner special!
The restaurant is good but is not amazing.nTo elaborate - the main thing I’ll say is that the portions are too expensive for what you get, most specifically the starters. They are tiny - 4 pieces of bread start at £4 and a small burrata for £8. It would be fine if this amount of bread was complimentary and the buratta was no more than £5 for this size. You know, like the Italians would actually do it.nThe pasta however is great! Flavours are classic and balanced. I particularly liked the pork tortelloni. Though again a bit short on the portions, so had to get an extra portion to share.nThe tiramisu was by far the biggest letdown. The sponge was soggy, though the cream was rich and tasty.nHowever the staff and service were all amazing, attentive and kind.nLastly - they don’t take reservations, so you may have to wait for a table.nOverall is a good restaurant but it certainly suffers from the ‘trendiness’ of the area with prices not justifying what you get out of it.
We had an amazig time for dinner today. We arrived at 6.30pm and was informed it would be a wait for at least 1.5-2 hours, we were able to wait downstairs at the bar which was very cozy and comfortable. We managed to get a table downstairs after 45 mins which we were very happy about. We ordered four pastas to share between 3 and a tiramisu for dessert, all tasted amazing, love the flavours and how the pasta were cooked. We definitely recommended the carbonara.nService was very welcoming and friendly which honestly feels like a first in a while in London so thank you for the host and waitor for making such a enjoyable and pleasant night for us!
My niece said this would be the best pasta I could eat in a restaurant in London. That's a big claim but I have to say the flour and grape did not disappoint. Excellent customer service, great ambience and the food was excellent. Top that off with a fizzy red wine, yep you read that correctly it was amazing. When I am next in London I will defo consider heading her for something to eat, you may have to wait but I don't think you will be disappointed. A big thank you to all the staff working during our visit 22/02/26 you are all amazing
