We like Mannings Amusement so much we setup a retro gaming lounge here! Iconic art deco building with a vintage arcade, pinball and video games!nnPlease note we are now located at Northgate Street, Ipswich.nnThank you to all our customers and Beach Street businesses who supported us in Felixstowe!
0 starsnnChild won £5 and they refused to give him the money.nAccused small 7 year old boy of elbowing the machine to win a £5 note, baring in mind the prizes were inline with his face.nI’m local and definitely won’t be visiting again and will be advising friends and family not to return either plenty of better arcades on the stripwe jumped into this one as it was raining.
Visited due to a meeting with Radio station located at same building, Suffolk Sounds.nLooked like a very interesting place with variety of machines and very close to food and coffee stores.nPlenty of parking outside on road.
Machines not working and staff don’t seem to care. Mentioned to two staff machines are not working they said they knew but did nothing about it. Actively taking money off people with no Intention warning them. Avoid at all costs. Used to be decent arcade.
Well to say that this was my second home from when I was a boy is sad to say the least. It had been some time since I had visited and to expect a change is certain however if you knew what it was and now it's shocking. Completely left behind. ZERO renovations I swear down you can't even tell if a single building has had a fresh lick of paint but that is just my frustration. now I am from Ipswich Town which is basically next door but I saw both towns equally pleasant 20 years ago but you would never believe that Felixstowe is the town with one of Europe's biggest ports. So rin down and depressing. Anyway now I need to set aside my personal opinion and it's like this if you are new and just visiting the area then by all means Felixstowe is a lovely and off-peak beautifully quiet and the beach has been looked after. Alot more stones than sand but I think they attempted to make it more comfortable. so as long as you are not making it home it could be rather lovely now what I mean by this is it isn't just the buildings that have been left behind. It has become a hive for bad banger boy racers that race narrow beach Road beeping and little kids everywhere and allot of other trouble. Also the majority demographic of the people who frequent the area are your run of the mill thugs, loud girls and all seem to be looking for trouble with every group aggressively holding their ground and waiting for a reaction. I did go on a really hot and busy day so yes that doesn't paint a complete picture but I honestly believe it's still a lovely visit for someone who hasn't been.
