Omfg I forgot how many times I’ve been to thetford centre parcs but I’ll never grow out of loving this place. If you are after a family holiday in the uk then centre parcs thetford has everything you and your family need
One of main reasons to visits Centre Parcs is for their spectacular subtropical swimming pool. The pool is heated to a toasty 26°c and has many features such as, numerous hot tubs called wirlpools, a lazy river, a wave pool, salt pool perfect for soaking in after a workout doing their various activities and rapids. They also have a childrens area which is pirate themed, filled with buckets of water which tip over your head randomly and lots of splash areas. They have four main slides, the most impressive being their Cyclone ride which is very fun! There are twin white drop slides which deposit you into the wave pool although also provide you with an option to go out directly after which are excellent for racing. The other two slides land in the same area. One is a black pool which immerses you in complete darkness and the second is a tame white slide. The pool also has a bar which is open until 8pm and a Starbucks incase you’re hungry or thirsty during your stay. With the brand new banding system the lockers now operate slightly differently. You use your band to lock them and then use your band to open. If they get stuck, just hit the top left corner and they should pop right open. If you forget your locker simply scan the pad on the wall to find your number! I have been coming to centre parcs for 17 years now and the pool is definitely one of the highlights. One of my best advice though is for their plunge pool. I got hypothermia from staying in there too long. So for parents with neurodivergent children I would advise to just keep an eye on them in there.
Superb water park with various areas for different ages. Water is lovely and warm this time of the year. Dressing rooms are undergoing renovation at the moment so can be a bit of queuing for changing rooms. But it's definitely worth the wait. There's the adult Cyclone. Mid age Rapids and various slides. Younger ones have Smugglers Cove and babies have a section in the Cove and the bubble pool. There's also jacuzzis, a Lazy River on the left of the main pool. The main pool has timed wave sessions and a waterfall cascading into it. The whole atmosphere is of a water paradise with large trees, palms and plants. You can even buy things inside at the coffee shop.
Absolutely out of this world. Such a fabulous family experience
Plenty to keep the kids and adults entertained, although it did get very bust. You have to do the Cyclone when you're there.
It's great. Big space with warm, cold and hot pools for everyone to choose. Assume slides didn't have a queue at all, other not that long. It's clean, however I cannot understand why they decided to refurbish changing rooms during the busiest summer season. I love the mixture of real and fake plants, it looks real but gives additional colouring.
The first time you go it's great! However, by the 4th day of your hols you've seen and done it all. Rapids are fun and there are 3 different slides to go on which are good for kids. My only gripe was that it was so busy! The changing rooms are manic although generally clean considering the traffic going through.
Brilliant as always, great kids area with flumes and slides, lovely main pool with wave machine, various flumes for adults, rapids are amazing, as is the cyclone, that’s special
Wide variety of activities - actually rapid rapids, flumes, big main pool, hot tubs. Also has areas to relax and a few cafes. Water is warm and it is all pretty clean.
Great new disabled facilities and a lovely temperature in the pools. Very clean all round and not too busy despite it being Christmas
