We've used the Manchurian for takeaway food for the past four years or more. We found the food reasonably priced and good quality. But over the past year or so the same dishes have become saltier and saltier. It reached the tipping point after we ordered a few dishes last night and everything was so salty it was inedible. We managed to eat about a third of the food before giving up. In the middle of the night we both woke up out of nightmares, and extremely dehydrated, with both of us having bad headaches. My headache lasted til late the next day. It seems apparent that whoever is doing the cooking at the Manchurian is using massive amounts of monosodium glutamate - a flavour enhancer a bit like salt. Decent food doesn't need any monosodium glutamate (MSG) but a shortcut in Chinese cooking to make something 'tasty' is to use it, usually in small amounts. It was bearable in the past but we won't be going to the Manchurian again after this. This food made us ill.

OMG amazing place with fantastic pick and mix menu. I've probably been here 10+ times within the last year. It's quite pricey at around £40 for two people but it's defiantly worth it. The staff are extremely friendly and we've never had a bad experience. It's a little far for us to takeaway but it's by far our favorite place when dinning out for Chinese.
