Manchester Airport

My first experience flying was an amazing one. The staff at manchester airport I found were amazing, they made me feel welcome and reassured me on a few questions I had. Lovely shops to look around and some great food choices. Everything went as planned. No drama, just a lovely pleasant flight both departing and entering.

The single worst airport I've ever flown from, and I've travelled all over the world to both small and large airports in countries ranging from Tunisia, to America. I will never fly from Manchester again. I've rated it two stars because the parking was easy to book, locate and access.

As a regular traveller, the security check at this airport is one of the worst I’ve experienced. The staff seem to be on a power trip and think they are superior to everyone. They bark orders and demand things that no other airport does for no apparent reason. Their methods do not result in a better, more secure check and they certainly do not provide a more pleasant experience. It takes nothing to be nice and help start people’s holiday or business trip the right way. It’s a shame because it’s quite nice once you’re through.

I have to say Manchester Airport is just a bit of hard work. The intense road works make it challenging at best to navigate around. They just keep changing. They have moved the bus terminal fir the car hire to a different location and the signage they have provided is totally inadequate. There is never enough seating in Terminal 3 where I fly from. Security cannot keep up with amount of people travelling. Come on Manchester Airport really!. You are a top 3 city in England. Try harder.

Return flight to Innsbruck Outbound - rude, abrupt security staff , very unpleasant experience., I appreciate security is important but there’s nothing to say it can’t be done with respect, courtesy and s smile. Inbound - waited ages for an air bridge , when it finally arrived it was faulty and couldn’t engage with the plane once again we waited for someone to. Repair it , eventually the door opened but we weren’t allowed off the plane as there was snow on the step ! We had to wait for it to be swept,. At passport control there was a long wait as the e passport scanners were not functioning properly , a staff member said it’s always like this it’s pot luck ! Baggage handling - ski bags had to be taken off the belt as there was no room for cases , staff said they didn’t expect so many ski holders ! It’s a flight to Innsbruck full of skiers for goodness sake !
