We dropped in on a dog walk today without a booking. They were welcoming and accommodating. We had a pork and lamb roast and they were incredible. Made all the better by the very friendly and attentive staff which seems to be something of a rarity these days sadly. Will definitely be back soon.
We spent lovely afternoon in the newly re-opened Maltster's Arms. The food was delicious - the presentation was lovely, it was fresh and the portions very satisfying. The outdoor space is spacious and has a lovely atmosphere. The new owners very welcoming and helpful. The whole place feels clean, well-looked after. We stopped off here on our walk the area, shich is so pretty.
We had a lovely lunch here today. Sat in the courtyard, very welcoming friendly staff. Very enjoyable and very good coffee. Thank you .
By way of a change, decided to have our a Friday night gathering drinks only at The Maltsters. We were greeted by Billy who showed us to our table and took a drinks order with great charm..despite a diminished size of party. Thereafter Heather ministered to our needs,beautifully. Brian and co have made this a delightful venue. And we look forward to returning to experience the food. Brakspears Gravity bitter spot-on. Well done the Maltsters.
I had a bowl of over 50 mussels done in white wine for only £8. Great value. Tasted beautiful. Good service. Pleasant courtyard dining in a gorgeous quaint English pub
Our first visit with the new owners. We had a lovely evening and could not fault, really excellent food with good service and pleasant staff. Highly recommend and we shall be there again for more of that!
Booked a table for 8 and we were warmly welcomed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu had good range and the specials were a good addition with several of our party opting for them. The chef was fantastic in slightly adapting the odd dish eg swapping mussels for prawns which we really appreciated. It was also great to see a proper pie on the menu which I ordered and was delicious. In summary great to have the Maltsters Arms back open and I look forward to returning soon.
Exceptional food! For the price point, compared with other pubs, the plates are huge and stacked to the brim of delicious food. The chicken kyiv was sensational. Very pleasant bar staff. Will definitely go back. Thank you!
Best meal for a while. This pub was lovely. It was our first time and it delivered the whole package, nice setting, cosy, lovely staff and beautifully presented food and Gin in a proper glass.
Excellent service from start to finish all the staff very helpful and friendly the food was excellent portions of a very good size and well presented Parking: Car park spacious and plenty of space
