Mainstay became involved with our property when another company let us down. From the start we were impressed by the professionalism shown by all members of the company. Our home is grade two listed which means permissions have to be sought for any alterations. Anthony not only took care of this, but came up with ideas to make our extension usable all year round that were acceptable to the planners. Once the plan was accepted, a price was agreed for the build which was broken down into stages of payment. This was fully adhered with the work coming in on budget. The team who worked on our house were fantastic, they were courteous and hardworking, and ensured that we had the minimum of disruption. The end result is a beautiful garden room that looks as though it has always been part of the house. The attention to detail down to matching the stonework and including fossils in the build is exceptional. We are absolutely delighted with the room, and have had no hesitation in recommending Mainstay as builders of outstanding quality to friends who have used them and been equally impressed.

In 2017 we used Mainstay on two occasions for small renovation projects. On both occasions we have found their advice and expertise to be invaluable. We got the results we wanted within the budget we had agreed and we are very happy with the workmanship. More importantly everyone who worked on site without exception was professional, polite and approachable. Great people to deal with and will be using them again soon for another project we have on the horizon possible later this year.

We've used Mainstay Projects for about seven years now - everything from a full kitchen and a complex ensuite to fitted wardrobes, bookcases and more general 100 year old building maintenance work. We've had nothing but excellent service from them. Every project, large or small, complex or simple has been delivered on time and within budget. We particularly admire their design skills and ability to communicate the suggested design and complete the job to suit our needs. Each step of each job has been discussed - we always knew what would happen next and when. Follow-up has also always been second to none if anything needed later adjustment. We're not associated in any way with the firm apart from as customers, but would not hesitate to recommend them completely for any building work.

Having more than basic general building skills myself, I know a quality job when I see one. Mainstay worked on a property we own in Frome Somerset, while we live on the Isle of Wight. And we are pleases to say we can highly recommend them on price and quality of work. Plus one of the cleanest builders I have come across. Mainstay were recommended to us from a previous customer who also said they were vary satisfied with their work.

Mainstay did a fantastic job for us. They worked with us to make plans to achieve what we wanted to fit within our budget. Every stage of the project was talked through in advance and we always knew where we were. All of the people who worked on our house were professional, on time, courteous, and easy to be around. And we're so happy with the results. Will definitely use them again.
