I only rarely leave reviews but I got to say the best hospital we have been to. My partner fell over and hurt her knee and ankle, we went to A&E and from the receptionist to the doctors they were all amazing. Very quick and very friendly staff. The nurse that examined her made our day!
I've been to urgent care on a few occasions and although the wait time was long I was happy from the triage to seeing a doctor. Yesterday was the worst experience , staff member who took my BP wasn't patient friendly , the nurse who I spoke to after asked me why I'm wearing dark glasses , told her they are prescription ,I have a feeling the BP nurse and others commented on me wearing them ,hence her asking as I've never been asked before. The only person who was patient friendly was the Doctor , I felt as if I was wasting THEIR time. Their were a handful of people when I arrived , being in a family with medical backgrounds one being the chief officer of a hospital I advocate for the staff but the experience I had yesterday has left me thinking - if you don't want to do the job ,leave !
Attended A&E department 06/02/23 at 3pm - 6pm Staff and service was so efficient! I couldn't have asked for a better experience considering. The checking in nurse was an absolute hero - dealing with who she could so they didn't have to wait to be seen. Amazing women!
I would like to thank everyone at Kent Oncology Centre and Maidstone Hospital for the care I have received there over the past three years. The receptionists so helpful on arriving there, the caring staff on Charles Dickens day ward, the aftercare with emergency numbers if unwell after chemotherapy. A special thanks to Macmillan nurses. For me Maidstone Hospital are the best.
Went today to A&E. dealt with very efficiently and the doctor I saw was more than excellent. Got to then see doctor in eye clinic who again was more than excellent. Cannot say more than I have high praise and they all certainly deserve more in order to provide this service to all. Thank you.
Most impressed with the staff at the hospital in A&E. I arrived at around 10.00am and was finished at 1.00pm. My visit included checking my lungs, having an ECG, blood being taken, discussion with lovely kind, thorough doctor and finally a chest x-ray. All that carried out in only three hours. I was most impressed. Two of the nicest, polite and most charming people yesterday were the students who took blood samples.
I must say that nurses and doctors do a great job. It's the overzealous staff at receptions of specialist departments that need training as their manners are shocking both in person and over the phone. The grounds of the hospital meant to be a non smoking zone, but patients, visitors and staff are seen smoking on daily basis outside the hospital.
We took my son to A&E on Saturday evening. The doctors, nurses and staff were all amazing. Can't thank them enough for the brilliant service. Fantastic hospital.
I’ve only lived in Maidstone for 10 years but I have to say every time I have visited this hospital I have nothing but praise My recent visits are no exception. I received excellent care and attention despite the obvious pressure that NHS staff are under. I feel very fortunate to live in an area with such an excellent hospital
My wife attended the Eye hospital today with a red swollen eye, headaches, dizziness and blurred vision. She had previously been under their care for toxic plasmolysis and has lost 90% vision in her left eye because of this. This returned three years ago in her good eye and was halted in it's tracks otherwise she would have lost the vision in her good eye too. She is therefore anxious about her vision, the team didn't even examine her eyes to ensure the virus had returned. I have booked her in with Specsavers for a comprehensive eye examination. Where has the NHS arrived at when we are forced to do this? Poor service in the extreme!
