Massively improved Maidstone East Station facilities. A mix of modern and old with the new building and dinosaur. Large car park. Easy for taxis. Short walk into Maidstone Town Centre. Straightforward walk to Maidstone Barracks for the other train line. Staff have always been friendly and helpful when I have been here.
The station itself is ok fairly clean of what you would expect from a train station. An open and functioning ticket office. Trains frequently late which is amazing given the money customers spend. There is always signalling problems each time I've travelled which isn't that often to be fair. Then the train doesn't try to make that time up
Every week there will be some issue with trains being late or the station being closed from one route in London and the only way to find out is by going to the station and seeing that there’s no trains, updates are terrible
I parked here for a day out and was greeted by Chris when I went to pay to park. Absolutely no customer service skills and shouldn’t be able to work with the public. Very rude and unhelpful, huffing when I asked to pay. Do not recommend
Person in the ticket office quite rude and hostile and was not helpful at all! By reading the other reviews the staff here need to have a L&D day on customer service
