Maidenhead Fireplace and Stove Centre

Had the DG 5 Ivar stove fitted in December & absolutely love it. When Charlie came to quote he advised that we needed to widen the fireplace entrance to which I was very skeptical. However, we went with Charlie's advice, had the fireplace widened, slate fitted & stove fitted & it looks amazing. We fitted our own more rustic looking mantel. Having the fireplace widened made a huge difference & everything was finished off perfectly. The team were also able to recommend their plasterer who also helped with other work in our home. The team were really nice to work with, really clean & tidy & very polite. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic job! We needed a fireplace centre that was willing to do more than simply fit a stove - we also needed a camera inspection of the flue, and some building work to the hearth. Dealing with Maidenhead Fireplace Centre was a pleasure from start to finish. Charlie is hugely knowledgable, and didn't try to push us towards a granite or slate base. Instead, he has a great network of skilled tradesmen, and worked with us to make sure we ended up with a stove and hearth that was right for the character our property. The whole process was easy, reasonably priced, and the result is stunning!

The first time I visited, there was a helpful young guy. The second time, unfortunately I had to speak to the main guy who does the actual installation and he was really awkward to talk to, didn't listen to what we were looking for and it seemed to be all quite a hassle that we wanted to buy something that was just slightly different to their main offerings. He never called again to arrange the home visit so we went the the lovely guy at Warm Interiors in Reading who was really helpful and made it an easy choice.

What fantastic service. I’m reluctant to write a review for any trader but really did want to share our gratitude and appreciation to Charlie and his team. They arrived on time and were the cleanest/tidiest tradesmen we have ever had in the house. They were not the only one we asked for an estimate but they were certainly the best by miles. I am very happy to recommend Maidenhead Fireplace and Stove Centre.
