Indian restaurant with lots of flavor and great price! Nice decoration, nice customer service. Locate in busy street with lots of India restaurants!
This Bangladeshi restaurant does not serve authentic indian food. Avoid this restaurant for indian food. Tried bhel puri which did not taste good at all and chana bhatura was tasteless. Bhatura was not fresh and was reheated bhatura which came folded like chapati, which was disastrous. How can you serve reheated and folded bhatura in a restaurant?? It is equivalent to serving wine with ice! Blunder. Overall food was appalling which left a bad after taste of food. Non-Indians may like the food because most of them have little idea how Indian food should taste and look like. This restaurant serves failed imitation of indian food. They have some weird rule that you have to place order for starter and main course in one go only. Probably if I had just ordered starters, and after tasting them I would not have ordered a main course. And this is Bangladeshi restaurant, not Indian restaurant.
Ridiculously good Indian food! It's all vegetarian but it's so good you would never know. Prompt service. There's a 10% service charge but it's London - that's pretty much standard these days. It's good value for money too, you can easily get a meal and a drink for £20. Vegetarian options: Restaurant is all vegetarian
Really nice tadkha daal to which I chopped up the chappati and mixed it in and it went down very well. The service was good and the restaurant looks and feels great.Food: 4/5
I've been coming here for years, and am never disappointed. The menu features dishes that you won't find in standard Indian restaurants - try a dosa, which is like a huge stuffed pancake. Staff are friendly and it's reasonably priced. It's my go-to choice whenever I'm in the area.
Great food. Nice place. With the bill a servicecharge of 10% was suddenly added mentioned nowhere on the menu. I would have loved to tip, but greedy behavior like this left a bad taste in the mouth. Foreigners make easy pickings, right?
Must know for every vegetarian/vegan in London. Amazing food, huge choice during Sunday's buffet. Edit: went back after 4 years. They didn't have buffet at Sunday 7:45pm; It felt forced as the waiter sit us down, because we only asked a question, didn't leave us space to decide/discuss if we wanted to stay, but we were hungry and went along. Overall the waiters felt a bit rude. We had 5 dishes, which we couldn't finish. Exotic Karahi Mix mostly orange colored curry: nice flavours, lots of carrots. Muttor/mutter paneer light orange dish with in it: it had very few peas in it, but the curry was flavoursome and the paneer was really good, it wasn't squeaking like every else. Vegetable rice: yellow rice with vegetables and spices, not hot. Aloo methi paratha pencake-like bread: very thinly stuffed with some potato puree and spinach. Spinach and paneer dosa: 3 stuffed dosa slices, plenty of cottage cheese/spinach filling. Very nice side curries: sambar has an unusual sour flavour for Indian, the coconut is very strong with flavour, the red one we had no clue what it is. In the end we asked to take the remaining 2 dosas and a curry away, and they gave us 2 small metal boxes and we had to fill it. Unusual, but ok for the price range.
Nice restaurant, buffet is a bargain and you should definitely go on an empty stomach! Great selection of vegetarian food - it is exclusively vegetarian. Other menu items fantastic too, I recommend the Dosa's! On the downside, they like you to pay in cash only, unless your table pays together in one single card transaction. Waiters friendly too, although sometimes a little pushy to sell you extras. They like to be tipped too! Overall, very tasty food and good quality. I visit regularly.
This is not Indian cuisine. In fact a nameless cuisine. Run by Bangladesh people with names that resemble Indian names. The food was just disgusting with precooked and packaged items. No flavour. Worst service or rather I should say their hesitation for serving food says it all! Look at their faces… they know that the cuisine they showcase is untrue.
Went back here after a long time. We were around 10 people and the staff were so incredibly kind, and they quickly put tables together so we could all sit together. It meant blocking out another table for 2 but they did it anyway : The food was DELICIOUS! The malai kofta is the best I have had and the chole was creamy, and the bhatura crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Can't wait to go back!
