Magnum Whiteline is one of the best taxi firm going in greater Manchester never had problems with its drivers or operators . Main thing is they are reliable on time and reasonable prices
The price for my trip was quoted to be between £19-21 I ordered this whilst waiting on the pavement On arrival at my destination, I paid with a credit card and received notification of the charge of £21.20 However I have just received an email from Magnum Whiteline to say that the driver waited for me for 26 minutes and the fare is £31.20!! Unless there is an honest believable excuse and they apologise for this I am not going to be very happy What type of service are they trying to conduct? The problem with Magnum Whiteline is that they tell you that your car will be 10 minutes. It all goes pear shaped when the car fails to materialise and you are then told that there are no cars. If they were truthful at the outset and gave an honest estimate of the waiting time, the situation I found myself in would not have occurred. Yet I am the villain of the piece.
Booked a taxi for the next day. It showed up as confirmed. A few hours later, I happened to check, to see the taxi was cancelled*. They at no point tried to contact me. I tried to lodge a complaint with their internal system, however I encountered an error message to even submit a complaint. Beyond appalling. *The cancellation icon was not particularly visible and I had to scroll down to see this too.
I've use magnum all my adult life pretty much and always thought service was great but used them recently to the airport and back , on the way there the driver drove like he was the get away driver and I felt sick by the time we got there , then different drive and car coming home , he was rude , told us he couldn't get the luggage in but we did it in the end and the BO smell was unbearable, to make matters worse he didn't check the traffic and we got stuck at 10pm in road works for 60 minutes, he could of gone a different way
I will never use this company ever again,,apparently it was my own fault for using their automated system very quick to turn up as ad when it suits them selfish c***s!!!!
Have used magnum whiteline many times and find the service very reliable.
When it came to payment, the driver claimed to have "lost" the £20 note I handed him a few seconds ago. After delaying us for 20 minutes arguing with us to hand him more money, he eventually reached into his car and "found" the money on his passenger seat. Just a petty scam to get more cash out of us when we all we wanted was a simple taxi drive to the station at the beginning of our holiday. Not impressed with this disgusting trick. I can only sympathise for the vulnerable who have been victims to this. Never travel with Magnum Whiteline again
Unfortunately I had an extremely long wait in rain and hail etc. Had to keep ringing bk because it was a 2h or more wait which I was not informed to begin with. Second time shopping at Aldi this has happened. Apart from that the journey itself was pleasant and reasonable in price. Drivers I've experienced are always polite.
