A Wonderful venue full of history with a great atmosphere. The people there were all extremely friendly and we loved every minute. The Theatre is small but ideal for a more enjoyable experience. They have a nice bar area and a floor with some tributes to magicians who are sadly not with us anymore. They do have a museum but on this occasion I didn't experience this. Accessibility was great and the seat in the theatre was in the balcony area and my carer was able to seat with me which was a bonus. The view was great and everyone very accommodating. They had a lift which could access each floor. They had an accessible toilet which was just outside the theatre. Would highly recommend attending a show there. We attended "The Dreamer" with James Phelan. Getting to and from the theatre was straightforward with great transport links nearby.
This is a beautiful little theatre full of magical history. My partner and I went to see James Phelan and had a nice evening. It's very cosy and a lot smaller than I first thought, but most London theatres are. On a side note, be prepared to walk a lot of stairs!
The atmosphere at The Magic Circle is warm and welcoming, amplified by its intriguing museum filled with historical memorabilia related to magic. This setting enriches the experience, allowing guests to appreciate the art form’s evolution while enjoying top-class performances from international magicians. The close-up magic shows create an intimate environment where audience members feel personally connected to the acts being performed.
Had a super fun evening. We felt very welcome and had fun exploring the museum with the enthousiastic guide. I know a bit how magic tricks works, so the closeup magic and other performances were not so impressive, but a lot of fun. Theatre performance could be rated as amateur plus. The performers accidentally revealed how some of the acts were done. All in all a very entertaining evening and well worth the visit
I saw the 'Up Close' show, and it was amazing. 4 magicians that are different every week!, and each show was unique and mesmerizing to watch. When I wasn't being amazed, I was laughing. A big thanks to all the magicians performing that night, I will be back in the near future :
A dream come true. Such an amazing place for someone who grew up loving magic and carried that love into adulthood. The museum is stunning... Sooty, Paul Daniels, Fay Presto, Tommy Cooper, the Berglas's, the Maskelynes.... All of magic history represented.... And to top it all a brilliant theatre show and drinks afterwards with table magic and conversation. Adored it. Special thanks to Bron Ivy
Awesome place and acts such a nice venue and a warm greeting from ushers. The side magic shows were incredible. Very good value as well
Had an enchanting evening at The Magic Circle, watching four mesmerising magicians and touring the fascinating museum filled with magical history!
I've Been to the Magic circle three times, twice to close up Magic, once to the actual Theatre. They were raising money for their charity Benevolent fund at the theatre. Personally I think everyone should go a least once in their lifes, it's steeped in history and whatever your age your feel its a special magical moment in your life. The Magic is of course world class, and the magicians apart from being masters in their craft, are genuine individuals. They are very approachable and friendly it's a pleasure to meet them. Additionally there is comedy in their shows. It's different Magic everytime. For me this place is special, and has a place in my heart, and needs to be cherished.
Lovely venue tucked away from the hustle bustle of London. Perfect day out for anyone into their magic. We did the Christmas show that is two hours or so worth of magic shows. The acts were brilliant, charismatic and energetic, we loved it. You can also wonder around the museum, which was a bit boring for kids but a nice extra for those unto magic. There is a bar where you can chill, have a snack and see some closeup magic. All in all, fun day and worth every penny!
