Firstly we had a good welcome. Then the food was outstanding. Starters were plentiful and tasty. Only possible criticism was the Thai soup was more of a curry soup, but still very good. Steaks were perfectly cooked, full of flavour. Would highly recommend this place.
What a fantastic little gem! We had Sunday lunch here during a recent weekend stay nearby. The welcome was very warm and friendly, the interior is lovely and the staff very helpful. They catered for my food allergies and even sorted out additional things with prior warning. I was shocked to be offered a vegan gluten free dessert - a rarity in some places. Not only that, it was DELICIOUS. Our server - Michelle - deserves a special mention for her excellent customer service and friendly manner. Excellent hygiene and covid protocols as well. Thank you Tafarn y Maes.
Ate here for lunch two days in a row and it’s sensational! Chef Ludo is one of the best in the business. First lunch, we had the specials including pigeon and guinea fowl. Today we had the Sunday roast. This place is a must for anyone from near or far! Very friendly and welcoming staff too
Food in general was nice, good staff and owner comes around to check all ok and have a little chat, wasn't many people in on this occasion but lovely little pub.Food: 3/5

New refurbished destination dining pub. Lovely host Margaret, fantastic , freshly cooked food. Lamb rump is absolutely to die for, steaks cooked to perfection. Good selection of wine and beer. A lovely place to visit. Highly recommended.
Excellent service, good staff. Food absolutely gorgeous.
An amazing little find for Sunday lunch. Amazing food, lovely friendly atmosphere. The staff cannot do enough for you. Shame I can’t give 10*** definitely coming back here again. Thank you again for amazing food!!
This is a place worth travelling to. It's really nicely done up, and the food is extremely high level - amongst the absolute best experiences I've had in many years of eating around these parts. There's the usual pub classics like gammon with egg and pineapple which are flawlessly executed plus some more adventurous options like a stunning beetroot and goats cheese risotto. Don't leave without trying the black pudding scotch egg which is glorious.
Excellent food and stunning views.
