Had 2 nights away in this beautiful hotel with dinner, bed & breakfast, the use of the swimming facilities and spa treatments. It is a 200 Yr old building in a remote location, perfect for getting away for that much needed break. Lovely food, rooms, service & staff and only a half hour away from Newcastle metro centre for a great shopping experience!

No bad. We went there at the end of March and the greens were not up to much. However I would expect that not to be the case later on in the season. The course is really nice and I would imagine to be a very nice place to be on a summers evening!

Overpriced for me, I think £5.50 for a single whisky is to much, no draught just bottles they weren't reasonably priced either. The food was fantastic and the spa treatments were amazing although we did have a deal. The spa area was ok but overall I much prefer redworth hall spa much better. Wasn't much atmosphere either but if you want somewhere to relax in total silence then this would be great.

The staff were very pleasant, food and drinks were great. However we did find plastic in one of the dessert dishes, when telling the waitress she offered us a new dessert for free but by this point we were not hungry.

Lovely place just a shame about not being able to open the window without a block of wood to keep it open.
