Had a wonderful and very special visit last Friday, enjoyed Fish and Chips, lively atmosphere, great service and clean environment. Very central and easy to get to, lots of seating inside and awesome design for those wanting to enjoy a drink outside too! I loved the chess table design also, really nice and smart pub! Food: 5/5
So , I had last minute booked to go to a gig at Koko , which is directly opposite to this lovely quirky modern pub. Friendly staff and I’ve ordered a Big dipper, which is a chicken burger with all the extras. Great location and wow the food is amazingFood: 5/5
Mornington Crescent  £6.30 Pravha A Refreshed Camden Local. The Lyttelton Arms is located on Camden High Street opposite Koko in Camden Town. The nearest Tube is Mornington Crescent which is just across the road. This pub was established in 1797 as The Southampton Arms. It was renamed The Lyttelton Arms in 2010 in honour of jazz musician and broadcaster Humphrey Lyttelton. I used to frequent this pub in the late 80’s/early 90’s. The pub has recently been refurbished to give it a new lease of life. This is a good size one bar pub that is stylish and modern. The pub is divided into four sections which have their own distinctive identities. The main bar area is spacious and has a sweeping servery with a burnished copper counter. At the back of the main bar is a raised area with a leather banquette and matching booths. The adjoining area feels more traditional with a tiled floor and exposed brickwork. The section at the back is low lit and feels like a swanky cocktail bar complete with a Joanna. The beer line up is a good mix of mainstream favourites plus a decent choice of craft beers from London breweries. I decided on a Pravha, my pint was excellent, price point is a smidge above average. The food menu is American inspired comfort food, there is a range of burgers, bites and subs, Fish & Chips is available at £16.00. I was kindly invited along to the relaunch night to check out the refurb and see what’s new. The pub was packed by 6pm with a buzzing upbeat atmosphere. The DJ was superb, he played soulful funky jazzy tunes which set a nice tone. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and seemed to be proud to be part of this revamped boozer. I had a good catch up with pub aficionados @booze_house_tales and @thelostpintproject who are always great company. The @lytteltonarms refresh is well thought out and hit with me. The new decor is stylish and appealing and felt like a nice environment to spend time in. The beer selection covers all the bases and the food menu is on trend. The staff are great and you’ll be well looked after. Bravo ℹ Info correct on visiting 21.05.24
We ordered food & drinks which arrived promptly. Misunderstanding as we ordered and got charged three pints of pepsi and thought we had been over charged since the glasses we got given are the glasses usually served for medium drinks just expected a pint to be served in a pint glass. When I went to ask I was told that its still a pint serving, which I accepted. I went back to the table but soon was given a replacement Pepsi with a dirty look - in an actual pint glass that was also dirty… I suspect on purpose
I’m really enjoying the revamped Lyttleton. This pub has always been a staple for me and my friend as we used to live across the road, but even now that we’ve moved to different places we still gravitate back. The new design is really lovely and fresh, the food is as good as it’s ever been, and the staff are fantastic shout out to Laura for today - so friendly and accommodating.
Amazing pub, staff are excellent, and the service we received was outstanding as well as the atmosphere. Selection of beers especially the traditional English ales was outstanding. Loved the food as well, couldn’t wait to tell my mates back in Brisbane and Sydney.Food: 5/5
Really lovely place! I went for a mid-week lunch and got a burger which was tasty & substantial which came with well-seasoned fries. It was quiet and relaxed with nice comfy seats. The bartender was a sweetheart. Definitely recommend!Food: 5/5
Given it was out first time there and we went specifically to see Batala London, we had a very nice evening. The fish and chips were especially good! However, our experience was marred by the fact that there seemed to be only one toilet by the restaurant area - it was dirty and there was always a queue.Food: 4/5
The Lyttelton Arms, an extension of Mornington Crescent underground platform, a fine one indeed! Super staff behind the bar, engaging, efficient and friendly. A bit of a struggle for real ale drinkers as only one pale ale on cask. Not enough real ale drinkers coming in? My abiding memory is how delightful the lady serving me was. I wish the pub well.
I didn't have food so rating is only for drinks. Lovely, decorated pub, new smelling, clean and lots of seating and screens for sports. Good range of drinks and welcoming staff. However I didn't give 5 star as I ordered a Pravha, he repeated the Pravha, put it through the till as this, and gave us a Madri. Considering only 2 groups of customers seemed a bit odd.
