Just spent a week here in a specially adapted caravan for wheelchair users. It was fabulous weather as you can see. We were near the exit and were able to get to the beach walking with the wheelchair in about 5 mins walk. There is an amusement arcade with a cafe there and also a sports centre with a restaurant and an ice cream hut with Mario's ice creams which were excellent as there were many flavours including mango and Rhubarb and custard and lemon meringue. The site itself lacked facilities as they are due to be finished for August bank holiday. A lot of the caravans are privately owned but we just rented for a week. The caravan was fine except for the beds and the pillows. This is a usual complaint from me so just need to start taking pillows from home. Really enjoyed the local area and walking into town and large Tesco open until 11pm and lots of parking. The caravan was clean enough but the stains on carpet really annoyed me so I bought some spot cleaner and cleaned it myself - probably contract cleaners who just aren't given enough time...they are obviously keen to flog caravans but I will resist as I'm not paying the site fees.....
Great site, location and facilities. Security were really approachable/friendly and quickly sorted an issue we had in our caravan. Honestly they were great as was the caravan. The only downside otherwise it would have been full maks were the reception staff. They were absolutely useless with no idea about customer service. Honestly when I arrived only one staff member was in reception she was on the phone. It took her 10-15 mins before she'd finished and even acknowledged I was there. 10-15 min check in when I'm the only one in the queue is absolutely ridiculous. Another member of staff walked in as she was still on the phone. Then instead of going straight to me after the call in order she instead went to help the other staff member do something. So then there were two staff members both ignoring what should be the priority at that time THE CUSTOMER!!! Replace your reception staff with the security guards. They were much better
Arrived today, and wish I hadn’t.nBird poo on the inside of windows and the window netting. Inside the caravan!…how?nnThey don’t provide towels, so after arriving to the caravan that’s had the heating left on, through a heatwave. I’m pretty sweaty and can’t shower as nothing to dry with.nnThe caravan kept getting hotter, when calling reception, asking if someone could come and have a look. We were told, “no we can’t come and have a look” I’ll tell you what buttons to press on boiler. After explaining over the phone, this isn’t the same boiler with the buttons they’re on about. We were left to press buttons and YouTube it.nnKnowing theirs a spa on site, prior booking. We’ve booked only to find out after arriving and walking past spa that it’s closed for over a week with no one informing us of this.nnIf you smoke weed definitely come here, it must be legal as at least 5 caravans we’ve walked past are all smoking spliffs outside their caravans.
Amazing site, Depending on your caravan location your never more than 15min walk to the beach, location isn't to far from the big shops about 5 min drive. The play park for little ones is very good. Highly recommend.
Quiet caravan park but within easy walking distance of the town and train station. Very helpful staff at reception. Beautiful beach a few minutes away.
