This place has so much potential, it’s such a shame that the service is poor and rude, the food is poor too and the decor is outdated. The placki were too oily this was easily solved by patting the oil off with kitchen roll after frying. The waitress had an attitude about it and reluctantly offered for the kitchen to make something else. Waited about 45 minutes for the food to come. Ridiculous! Other people were served before us and they had ordered after us.
This is the restaurant appended to the local Polish community centre. The prices are very good and the food even better. Service is chaotic sadly. The escalope and pierogi and pork knuckle weee as good as it gets. The beer came out the fridge but it was very warm and horrible. The cherry shot is nice. The food I rated highly but everything else was disappointing. Still recommend going though.
Very good quality food, we ordered traditional polish starter- beef steak tartare- one of the best I have ever eaten, for main leg of duck, traditional pork escalope and beef goulash. All was presented very nicely and was tasty. Service was professional. Definitely good place to go for traditional Polish cuisine.Food: 5/5
The food is very nice, I highly recommend it. However, the pricing should be more consistent. I was served by a waitress asking what size of cakes I would like as there was a choice between smaller and bigger piece. Having been charged for two large ones, I was give two different sizes. Maybe a scale would be more appropriate...Food: 5/5
Amazing pierogi, golonka etc really surprised with the food. And also not too expensive.Food: 5/5
Service was excellent. The barrister was friendly and efficient. There were plenty of choices for coffee and tea and orange juice are either freshly squeezed or from a carton. Your choice. Coffee came in 3 sizes. I asked for cappuccino with semi-skimmed milk but felt that the milk wasn’t fresh. It tasted more like UHT. The orange juice was lovely though. Both came to about £6.50. Plenty of seatings at 10:30 am on a Saturday.
Lowiczanka is a Polish restaurant located on the first floor of the Polish Cultural Institute in London. It serves a wide range of traditional Polish dishes, including pierogi, gołąbki, and kotlet schabowy. The restaurant also has a good selection of Polish vodkas. The service is friendly and attentive. The food at Lowiczanka is delicious and authentic. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Lowiczanka to anyone looking for a taste of Poland in London.
Delightful food - pierogi, duck, golonka and soups all delicious. Unique ambience with a definite element of stepping back in time. One of West London's hidden gems.Food: 5/5
Oh My God!!! The Food is so so Delicious. We were only 2 people but couldn't decide which one to go for. Ended up with 4 main courses, 2 starters and 4 desserts. And guess what!?!?!??! We have finished them all, even ordered some more to take with us!!! Strongly recommend!!! One of the best Homemade Food in London!!!!
Lovely authentic Polish food, friendly staff, good value, nice ambiance. However, service is slow because they are under staffed.
