Very nice place with a big room and a lovely extension with view over the park. The food is good, but nothing to cry for. To say prices are quite fair to be so central in London. Service really slow but kind. In general not that bad.Food: 4/5
We visited Ognisko with high hopes to try authentic Polish food. Here's how we rated the dishes: Pelmeni: 8/10 – nicely done Schnitzel: 8/10 – very good, crispy Blini with Salmon: 7/10 – the salmon was fresh and seem homemade but plain in flavor. Tartar: 7.5/10 – super fresh, but we missed some extra kick like onions, capers, or chives... Sea Bass: 7/10 – moist and well-cooked, but the flavors felt flat, a bit "boring". Pavlova: 6/10 – not sweet enough and too sour for our taste. Babka: 6/10 – it seemed underbaked and was a bit plain.Maybe it's a matter of personal taste for both deserts Overall, the food was decent, but we felt it needed more flavor. We found ourselves adding salt to most of the dishes we rarely do that. While it was an okay dinner, it didn’t quite live up to our expectations.
Had lunch with 4 friends last Friday. We had Polish vodka based cocktails very strong but delicious! We ordered the set lunch menu 2 courses £24 or 3 courses £29. It was all very delicious and filling. I recommend the Seabream from the set lunch menu, but my friends had chicken Kiev & and Schnitzel, which were equally delicious. Beautiful classy decor and ambience throughout. Excellent customer service from all the attentive staff! There's also a covered terrace outside overlooking the park. Lovely treat, and I will definitely visit again..
Went out for dinner with friends the other night, and it turned out to be one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. The food was spot-on, the team was incredibly helpful, and the vodka shots simply outstanding. I’ll be sure to return soon and spread the word to my friends Food: 5/5
While the food was enjoyable, particularly the starters. I was somewhat disappointed by the overall setting. The restaurant felt a bit cramped with too many tables, lacking a distinct character. Additionally, although the service was friendly, we found ourselves requesting tap water multiple times. While bottled water was promptly provided, it would have been appreciated if the tap water had been more readily available. Regarding the main course, the rabbit was delicious, but the confit duck was unfortunately quite dry. The dessert selection also felt a bit limited for our taste. Overall, I would say that the food quality was superior to the surroundings. The service was friendly and efficient, and the view outside was pleasant. However, I believe that the restaurant could benefit from a more refined atmosphere and improved amenities. Despite these minor criticisms, I found the prices to be very reasonable for this part of London. Vegetarian options: There was a selection of vegetarian dishes, clearly labelled on the menu Parking: Limited parking available on the streets nearby, pay on app Kid-friendliness: There was no kids menu as far as I remember. Wheelchair accessibility: There are few steps to enter the restaurant, then it should be ok to move around the inside part of it
We were in London for over a week and this was one of the best if not the best meals we had on our trip. Every dish was fantastic. The cocktails also exceeded expectations! It was a bit more formal inside than I was expecting, felt a tad bit underdressed. Would recommend at least a collared shirt.
Beautiful dinning rooms and pretty little bar area as well. I am keen to just have a nice bite and a beer at the bar. The food was comforting and delicious. We shared half a duck and it was more than enough for two greedy men.Food: 5/5
This is such a charming restaurant with a beautiful, timeless outdoor seating area that is tastefully decorated with flowers and a white tarp to protect against the sun. The wooden decor and formal wear of the staff gives an upscale, classy atmosphere, perfect to bring the parents and grandparents which made up the majority of other diners present. My companions and I had kopytka dumplings, krolik rabbit's leg, keta caviar blini little pancakes with sour cream and salmon roe, cheese potato pierogi, cheesecake, and apple pierogi. All of the food was delicious and well-presented. While the staff were very friendly and helpful, I did get the sense that perhaps they were stretched a tad thin, as we had to wait for a while to place our orders and for the check after being given the bill. The waits were very minor, though, and perhaps if I'd been less tired and ready to head home, I wouldn't have cared. I am also very grateful that our water was always topped up with having to ask. I cannot stress enough how gorgeous the view was. We overlooked this gorgeous picturesque park and with the amazing food and friendly staff, this was a great experience. I'd love to come again!
Feels luxurious and its worth paying a visit here but ultimately you will regret spending money on their food. Dishes are creative but feel like a sad attempt to imitate western cuisine and portions are tiny. Poland has plenty of delicious food you can enjoy for cheap so don’t waste your time here unless you’re here for the classy vibe. Rather take a flight to Lodz for £13 lol. Way cheaper and you can def get more traditional authentic polish food if thats what youre looking for.
Nice vibe inside and brilliant service. Food is superbly delicious especially steak tartar and schnitzel. Rather on expensive side but quality is there.Food: 5/5
