The only reason there is a star is because it won't let me leave a review without it. This has got to be the most unprofessional, disorganized, worst insurance repair shop in the country. 22/11/23. Wife had an accident in her car, minor damage but the coolant system was damaged so the car was recovered to Lovells in Peterborough. Car repaired but they didn't know how to put the new coolant in so the car wasn't ready until 22/03/24. How can an insurance repair company not know how to put coolant in a car? 4 months to the day for a minor repair Went to collect on 22/03/24 and accident damage was repaired but there was new damage to the headlight surround which wasn't there before so didn't collect. 25/03/24. Car delivered and paintwork now correct. Went to drive the car and the drivers window fell into the door as the mechanism is now broken. When I reported this to Lovells, I was told to call the insurance company myself if I wasn't happy that Lovells had caused yet more damage to my car door and window. I repeatedly called trying to speak to an area manager or a director. Was promised a call back from Yusuf area manager. No call received. When I chased up the call, I was then told that area managers and directors don't get involved with customer problems, no matter how bad they are. Lovells very clearly don't give a stuff about customer care. 28/3/24. Lovells collected the car to inspect the broken window mechanism, told me it was wear and tear despite only failing in their very lengthy care. 29/3/24 I think. Car returned back to me and now there is YET MORE DAMAGE to the paintwork caused by Lovells as the supposed chief technician dismantled the door and put it together again. There was no way the technician could miss the new damage he caused. 30/3/24. I went to use the car and part of the seat is now in the boot. I cannot understand why part of the passenger seat is in the boot, I then reported this to Lovells. 03/04/24. Lady in branch told me she would get the insurance company to call me. No call 04/04/24. Same lady in branch said she would get the insurance company to call me. No call again. 10/04/24. Same lady has told me yet again she'll get the insurance to call me. Finally received a call 12/04/24. Car taken away yet again for insurance company to inspect door and repair paintwork. 15/04/2024. Car returned with paintwork finally repaired, seat STILL NOT REPAIRED. Insurance company are saying the broken window mechanism and door is wear and tear despite only failing during Lovells protection. This is by far the worst treatment, care and competence I have EVER experienced by a professional accident repair company. It's now 15/04/24, this is 145 days after the accident and the car is still sitting on my driveway and even when locked, the window can simply be pushed down so is not secure and the seat still hasn't been repaired. I have now got to pay someone else to get the seat, the door and window damage caused by Lovells repaired Incompetent, uncaring, dishonest, and unreliable are just 4 words I would use to describe Lovells. Avoid at all costs and if your insurance company ever recommends this appalling company to carry out the repairs, INSIST on your car being taken elsewhere and absolutely read the reviews prior to mine. I truly wished I had
Avoid at all costs. The guys have estimated my car to be a total loss although it is not their decision to make for which reason did not provide me with a replacement car. Two days later when an independent engineer a qualified person to do the job inspected the car, they approved the repair with no problems. They would not answer my phone calls, would not answer phone calls from my insurance company who were shocked to find out they have made the decision themselves to estimate my car to be at a total loss and to not provide me with a replacement car. As a result, I was left with no car for over a week. Avoid, Avoid and once again Avoid - I am going to request from my car insurance company for my car to be repaired somewhere else.

I would NOT rate these any stars !!!! Do not waste your money !! Dropped off my car had to chase and chase to find out what they was doing Always was told we will call you back by the end of the day on more than 1 occasion Not only that I’ve asked for my seats to be protected as they are light coloured and suede they have absolutely ruined them with dirt I have made a formal complaint

My accident damaged car was collected from my house. The person collecting the car was smartly dressed and polite. The damage was to the rear quarter panel and alloy wheel. The panel was severely dented and interfered with the edge that formed the opening to the rear door so looked bad as it didn't follow the door line. Any repair would need to be spot-on as any misalignment would be evident. On inspection the rear wheel alignment was also impaired so new parts were fitted. The alloy wheel was repaired and sprayed like new. The repair to the quarter panel was first class. There was absolutely no evidence that the car had been in an accident. The colour match was exact. There was no evidence of overspray. A really superb job from start to finish. In fact my expectations were exceeded. I would recommend Lovells to friends and family. Thought I’d repost as they got the last one deleted. Repair was good, shame about the £200+ sunglasses going missing whilst the car was in there possession. They also gave me a 70plate Skoda that had seen better days, 9000miles past a oil change and service. But beggars can’t be choosers I suppose Word of warning, remove all valuables from your car before they pick it up. Because you won’t get them back. Stupid of me to even leave them in there but I was in a rush to get to work after them cancelling my curtesey car the day before. They make you sign a disclaimer saying they won’t be held accountable for anything missing. Speaks for itself really, must have happened before. An official complaint has been made through my insurance company also, not afraid to go down small claims route. It ain’t the £200 sunglasses it’s the principleServices: Painting
Disgusting service nearly two months for a small corner repair on bumper no contact from garage first time collection crack in bumper paintwork blooming white mist on repair and doest sit flush against the bodywork on driver side manager asunder me this would be rectified another month turned up to collect second time everything locked OK got home noticed that they had pulled the bumper out on the passenger side so I didn't notice and when the car got dirty noticed the crack in the paint was still there iwas assured by my insurance company that this would be rectified 3 months on nothing no contact from the garage AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you value your car go elsewhere.Service: Body & Trim
When my car, a Jag XJ R-Sport, was returned the mileage seemed high, the in car GPS journey tracker and dash cam had been disconnected and closed down. I now have a headlamp wiring fault and the repair now creates wind noise. They were also supposed to have refurbished my alloys hence a four week period for a minor repair. I have lodged a complaint with the insurance company. Not impressed.Service: Body & Trim
