Fabulous park with great facilities for all of the family. A community hub and cafe as well as nature areas, a pond with geese and ducks, a great set of paths in one area that's laid out like a mini road network...
First time visitor today and I have to say that Lordship Recreation Ground is far more attractive and varied than I would have guessed. It's open and spacious with a lake and a stream running through it. There's a BMX track and a simulated road layout, with junctions, for kids learning to ride their bike. You've also got a little forest, exercise equipment and a central community centre with a rather nice café. Sure parts of the park are a touch bleak and waterlogged but I can imagine that the space is well used in the summer. It was all a lot nicer than I expected and steadily improved as I walked along its many paths.
It's a lovely park! It has beautiful trees, a nice bird sanctuary, a big play area for children, a cafe, and even a traffic simulation area for children to learn about driving. There's also skateboard park and a mini forest area for everyone to enjoy. Every weekend, there are also a park run for adult on Sat and for children on Sun.
Great park and Lordship Hub Cafe excellent, community charity so good to support. Model road is perfect for kids on bikes and the big green for football. Duck food available in the cafe to feed birds on the lake. Junior parkrun on Sundays at 9 is great for kids and really well organised.
On a good day, this park is absolutely amazing; joggers jogging, families enjoying the various activities dotted around the park and the pond looking as resplendent as ever minus the putrid smell. It's a large ground that would make for the ideal location for a picnic or a late Summer evening get together under the blanket of a golden sunset. One of Tottenham's bright spot, that's for sure.
Such a lovely park if you enter via downhills way. Beautifully kept. Lots to do. Nice open space and a friendly hub alongside a coffee shop.
I had a strange feeling when visited this recreation ground, first time … and I still have it in the second time. What is it… It is the nature in the jail. … anyway it is well created for human beings, their gardeners, ground workers are doing a great job, keeping the wild life and just simple with the cut grass. … however, there are lots of the opportunities for activities, even just walk alone or with your friends, family or with your dog. There are signed walking routes … with different colour of the arrows. You can cycling and improve your skills in the Modern Traffic Area or in the Bike Loop . You can play table tennis or organise a group activities … what I saw and I really enjoyed even just watching them. This place is full of life, but you still can find peaceful spots, just sitting and enjoying your thoughts and clearing up your mind.
My go to park! You can walk for miles through lordship lane rec to downhills Park my kids love it. But, I recently just came across the trove market within lordship lane rec which is on every first Saturday of the month. Independent business showcasing their amazing skills, and I was super impressed. Highly recommend everyone checking the market out & support.
A lovely park with lots to do. There are various lakes, a couple of community cafes, children's play area, a bmx cycle track and skateboard park in the middle. It hosts Lordship Wood where you can see various wildlife in their natural environment via trail walks.
Nice green space with lots for everyone to do. The children play area has a variety of play options from climbing boards, a play train, swings, slides etc. There's also a nice pond, where in addition to ducks, I once spotted theee turtles. There's also a bicycle area where you can practice your BMX stunts. In addition to basketball and football area. The grass field was well maintained and always seems so inviting to just relax on or have a picnic. The community seemed very mixed and friendly. Some characters tend to sit around the entrance, but they were not bothering anyone, so don't let that deter you from visiting. Visit and enjoy another amazing North London green space!
