Top top pub. Came here for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed. The decor is top notch and staff were super friendly. In a great location with ample outdoor space. The food was great and the drinks list extensive
One of the better pubs in North London. Located close to the Tufnel Park station. We popped in for a quick midweek dinner with the family. I had the fish and chips that came in a gluten free option. The others had Gnocchi and lamb. Overall the food was great, the service was a little slow but we understood that they were under-staffed. Will return again.
The holidays were a bit strange for us this year as for many but it was so nice to treat ourselves to a gorgeous meal here on Christmas Day. The staff were so friendly and there was a really warm atmosphere among the clientele. For me, the star of the show was the duck. Absolutely gorgeous. Our other main the halibut was delicious too but could have done with crispier skin. Overall, we really enjoyed our food. I'll happily come back to scoff more of it
Absolutely fantastic pub! We had our sons christening, and my birthday at the Palmerston. The staff are friendly and accommodating, Nicola was superb, she and her colleagues looked after us all throughout - we will be back! for my mums 70th
Absolutely fantastic pub! I wish we lived closer and this was our local! We popped in whilst working 5 minutes away, red wine, the BEST Camembert we’ve both ever had and fries, absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend xxx
Where do I even begin… We order the beef cheek croquettes which took an extremely long time to arrive. They were still frozen on the inside and it took another 30min for the next batch to arrive. Our roasts took 2hours and lots of complaining to finally hit the table Yorkshire and gravy less they arrive about 10min later. The roasts looked great however aspects were sadly inedible. All the time I have lived in London this is by far the worst experience I have ever had a pub.
Had a lovely night in the beer garden Thurs evening. Pub was nice and busy. Drinks selection good. App easy to use. Staff friendly. Booked a table which I recommend because it was busy. Good covid measures in place. Its a great local pub with nice outside spaces. Door a teeny bit hard to get in and toilets upstairs being the only downside but they aren't deal breakers.
I’ve been coming to this lovely pub since September ‘21. I usually come for Sunday lunch but the last few times it’s been below par. They don’t serve green veg with their roasts anymore and I was served my roast in a pasta bowl, it was all scrunched up, everything on top of each other. I’m sure I’ll go back but not sure to recommend to anyone anymore sadly. UPDATE !! I went today with friends. It was even worse ! Staff very rude. I had to ask for my food to be ordered at the bar after waiting 25 minutes. We didn’t get served for another 35 minutes. No one asked how everything was while eating and had to go to bar to refill our drinks, they just walked past with empty glasses on table. The food was not worth what we paid, potatoes very old and dry. I don’t even know what the green vegetable was. One sliver of carrot. This pub used to be AMAZING for their Sunday lunch. I will never go back again !
Have the fish finger sandwich !!! You won't regret it, absolutely delicious! Beer battered fish fingers, fresh made bread . Brilliant and defenetly needed after a stroll.
I did go back and it wasn't good at all compared to a year ago. At 2pm they had already run out of the roast beef. Waited 40mins for food and all very dry. When we wanted to order dessert they had run out as well.
