This place has been a brilliant pub ever since I been calling in always get a good pint of hand pulled or Guinness they know how to serve real ales plus lager n cider they look after there customers & make this pub a very friendly n welcoming environment at all times the bar staff are super helpful plus it has an outside sun trap beer garden in summer time you can enjoy a beer while taking in the rays plus the views of the fantastic old buildings that surround the area unfortunately some of been knocked down but please if you are looking for a nice warm friendly boozer plus has horse racing on during the day plus football with so many good views to watch the screen the locals are very friendly as well . This pub has had high standards for such a long time that’s what makes it a good safe place for people to visit you won’t be disappointed.
Smashing drinkers pub. Good choice of beers. Had blonde citrusy beer, it was excellent. Gents toilets are the best I've seen in years my pointer on good pubs. Proper urinals like they have on the continent.Service: 5/5
