I recently visited this pub in Bradford, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic – warm, welcoming, and with a vibe that made you feel right at home. The crowd was friendly and approachable, and it felt like everyone there was just looking to have a great time together. The ambiance struck a perfect balance between lively and relaxed, making it the ideal spot to unwind. Whether you’re there to catch up with friends or meet new people, this pub has that unique charm that brings people together. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable night out in Bradford!
It's been a while since I last visited. It didn't dissapoint. Roaring wood burner, genuinely frinedly service, excellent local beers on offer and a calm atmosphere. I'm amazed this place survives, given it's location, but really happy it does. A diamond in the rough.Service: 5/5
This is an old style watering hole with lots of real ale history. I visited this establishment on a Saturday lunchtime on the way to Shipley, and there were only 3 people in it. Maybe it gets better later on. There were about 5 beers on offer with room for more, apparrently 8. The beer I had was quite good, but later, a few friends arrived bound for the same destination in Shipley that didn't like theirs but I can't say why. The pub itself is in need of some TLC and appears to have been neglected for some time, A bit like the area around it, which was a quiet industrial zone devoid of people. In fact, the whole area appears to be somewhat neglected. There was no food on offer. There is a beer garden available for those balmy days just situated across the narrow road. It was nice to see some of the old memorable decor, fireplaces, and pictures about What was once a beer drinkers milestone is now sliding into disrepair. Perhaps it's a non fashionable district nowadays. I certainly hope it picks up as I would like to try again at a more popular time.
Genuine, great pub in Bradford which is a rare thing anymore. Support your local pub!Service: 5/5
Ok. So this is the place to visit for a quiet escape from the madness of Bradford. Great staff, great Craic, juke box music, great real ale selection. If you know it, you know it.Food: 5/5
There is hot food here. Chilli, Mon-Fri. ,5 Craft/Real ales on rotation German & Dutch beers + Belgium bottled beers. Usual bar snacks. Great jukebox.Food: 1/5
Visiting Bradford 33 years after graduating and the same length of time between pints here. What a *great* pub. Easily the best pints we had all weekend and it's still a proper pub with a large range of ales and a friendly landlady. Didn't want to leave. Well worth your support.
Been going in since 1988, hasn't changed much just outside toilets gone inside now, best pub in Bradford. Best for Real Ale. Kid-friendliness: Please don't bring them here
