I have eaten here many times however today I was underwhelmed with the food. The squid was tough and my pad Thai was flavourless and the chicken was chewy. Although the staff are always lovely to talk to I was surrounded by young men that seemed to to think it was ok to swear twice in every sentence. This is not a pub for the family and the food has definitely gone down hill Not my best experience of somewhere I usually like to eat. Also what with the plates? I felt like a child eating off a plastic plate Not a pub for the family
Cheapy Chicken is amazing. Incredible to find a restaurant that is absolutely empty on a crowded high street! Their amazing economy prices totally made me ignore the lack of colour in the batter and the weird smell emanating from beneath the pavement outside, because it was full flavour. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you've had a few too many, and feel the need for some cheap chicken... May even help you clear out for the morning to give you a clear start to the day!
Went here on May Day on one of our few days off for afternoon tea, was nice but the China was a bit old and tatty and it didn't match, the pictures looked a lot better. The food its self was nice and it was relaxing....until the drunks come outside for a fag!
Great atmosphere, good selection of beers and ales. Traditional pub, with a pool room, tvs to watch sports and a lounge, excellent staff, they arrange a bus to take regulars to the Albion games at the Amex, for a small charge, but so nice to start the football experience with a pint before leaving to go to the ground, and of course a return too. Plenty of outside seating and space. There is a Thai restaurant as part of the pub, although I haven't tried the food yet.
This place is a real find. Really authentic. Does. Small menu really well. Proper Chinese food is so misunderstood in this country, and a lot of “Chinese” places serve food you’d never find in China. Not this place. I had the cold noodles and a pork bun. Absolutely delicious. I spend 5 months eating my way around China. I was transported back eating this lovely food. It’s not somewhere for a posh romantic meal, but for some lovely, authentic, tasty, different food to fill your belly, come here. Especially good after a couple of beers!
Excellent pub and the Thai food is exceptional. Service is always fast and staff are happy. Even during these times it’s place you can go to enjoy in a safe environment.
BEST THAI I HAVE EVER EATEN. I'm super fussy when it comes to Thai food as alot of places are chains but this is so authentic I was pleasantly surprised when first eating here everything piping hot chicken is actually good chicken and food is just yummy!!!!!! I will be a returning customer
