Fantastic roast, really lovely pub. The staff greeted us with such a warm welcome, it was as though they were greeting someone they knew this was the first time we've been. It was really busy by 1pm, so would highly recommend booking! Both had the pork belly, it just melted in your mouth. We had the stuffing balls and pigs in blankets as extras and these were fantastic too. Good amount of gravy too which is a big thing for me! Will definitely be going back again!
I phoned up this pub to see if I needed to book a table for my dad and I to have lunch, it was early lunchtime so the landlady informed me I didnt need to and to just come along. When off the phone I said to my dad, I have a feeling its going to be a nice place because the response on the phone was a very friendly one. We were not disappointed. From arriving, ordering, eating, the interaction with the staff and the service was exceptional. The pub itself is a beautiful building , very spacious and plenty of space for anyone to go and enjoy. Children and Dog friendly also . We will definalty be visiting again when I visit dad and I know he will visit again
It's a very unusual pub as it has lots of Art Deco fittings and fixtures! We loved it! The staff were very friendly, specially George went an extra mile to help me out on something very important! The gin & tonic was really an artisan's drink!
I normally never finish my roast, well…today was different! I left an empty plate. I think this was possibly one of the best roasts of my life. It was beautiful and absolutely delicious. We also ordered some extra pigs in blanket and stuffing balls. Omg! The stuffing balls were to die for. I can highly recommend this pub for family Sunday roast. The staff are also very nice and friendly. We will definitely be back again soon

The Function Room is a great space for hired events. Has a bar unattended, tables and chairs. And large enough for a bouncy castle. Parking available but limited. Get there early to grab a spot, but surrounding streets have on-road parking unvouchered.
Hired their lovely function room for a video shoot and we were really impressed. Very friendly staff, amazing space and well kitted out with chesterfield sofas and plenty of tables & chairs. It's cosy and extremely versatile. Would book again.
Just amazing. Food was top, we had Sunday roast and it was just perfect, I can't say much as everything was cooked to perfection and tasty. The service was beyond amazing, especially the general manager. One of us had several allergies and the general manager made sure everything was perfectly done for that person. She took extra care and made our experience incredible. It wouldn't have been the same without her for sure. Thank you.
We came in with my cousin yesterday New Year Day for lunch and it was amazing. Dog friendly and my baby loved every minute she had lots of tasty treats. The roast was lovely and the service was excellent. We live in Bournemouth so was just visiting but will make sure next time we’re visiting we come in again. Thanks guys and happy new year xxx
Just been to old fogies Christmas Dinner. Had a brilliant time. Lovely food and drink, lots of presents and a really good sing song. Thank you to everyone for a good day. Its a date every year!
