I was here for the one month filmmaking certificate course, it was absolutely amazing! All the tutors were so experienced and knowledgeable and kind, it was great : I have no experience in the film industry, so I signed up for the course to learn and I definitely learned a looot! Highly recommend to anyone interested in the world of film, this course gives you a good insight into the industry and also the practical side of actually making a film, doesn’t matter if you don’t know what you like or are good at, I’m sure you’ll learn a lot and find something interesting for yourself ;
An amazing course, definitely worth traveling abroad. Met amazing people that I will keep in touch with. All the tutors had our best interest in mind from pre production to post. Everything was so hands on and being able to use industry standard equipment made me feel prepared for what my career could look like after the course. Even the what’s next lecture we had gave me a sense of security that will help apply it to real life. This is something that my university has never taught and i’m glad I get to walk away with more knowledge than ever. This course was exactly what I needed.
I did the filmmaking short course. A great school and course to learn the basics of filmmaking. With real practical experience was great. A safe environment and friendly staff. Lincoln was our course leader and was amazing! Super friendly and helpful. Would come back for more courses with him!
The LFA short film course has been an incredible journey for me. Totally inspired now to carry on making films. The tutors are wonderful. Fully recommend this to anyone, but certainly to anyone Who wants to get a taster for further studies in film. I’ll miss it !!
I was here for one month course! It was amazing experience! Really nice tutors! I love cinematography and this course was perfect for understanding all processes of creating film. They helped me understand what am i passioned about most in this industry and what way i should head next! Thank you, LFA!
I did the Filmmaking Certificate and I had a great time! The courses were informative, great to introduce someone to the basics and complexity of filmmaking. The practical side of things were engaging. We got a first glance on what a small movie set can look like. What I enjoyed most was working as a team with my colleagues, which is one of the most important aspects in film in my opinion.
I did the 4 weeks filmmaking certificate course and I absolutely loved it! From coming in knowing near to nothing about how the film industry worked, this course provides a really well rounded experience where we learn about lots of different aspects of filmmaking and putting it into practice! Everyone here is so welcoming and so helpful!! So if you are interested in getting into the film industry and not quite sure which aspect or where to start I would highly recommend this course!!
Loving the short course! It’s incredibly helpful and intense, especially given the short timeframe. It’s amazing to dive into filmmaking for just a month. Everyone gets the opportunity to try different roles, so we all get to learn a bit of everything.
I did the 4 weeks filmmaking certificate course. The staff was very friendly and had a great understanding of the technical aspects of filmmaking. All instructors were experienced, knowledgeable. This course provides a good insight into the industry as well as the practical side of filmmaking.
I did few courses at LFA including one month filmmaking certificate, and find it useful. While I had some technical insights, the courses let me deepen the knowledge about various aspects of filmmaking from development to post production and industry insights. During 1-month certificate each crew of three has written, produced and edited their own short film and took part in under the line roles as 1AD, 1/2AC, gaffer, spark etc. It is well organised, however I felt that there could be more practical work of tutors with producers - paperwork is not huge at such projects, but for training purposes and future better understanding of producer's work there could be a bit more input. Otherwise, I am happy with how it was organised and appreciate efforts all the tutors put in this course so we could deliver 4 short films at the end of it.
