I think all the other reviews are most unkind. Bearing in mind that they service Arbury Road Surgery, one of the busiest GP pratices in the city is it any wonder that they are so busy and I think they cope admirably with some sometimes 'less than polite' customers. Get your repeat prescriptions in early people - it's not rocket science! As for emergency stuff I've always found them very good and very caring.

Very unhelpful and one assistant (a young Asian girl) is bordering on rude.) I have lived in Arbury for 20 years and there has always been a chemist in Arbury Court. Up until the last year or so the staff were great and the service was good. Not any longer. I avoid going there if I can.

Strangely unpleasant and always seeking not to have what I need. If you're well enough to get down to the pharmacists on Milton Road instead, go there.

The (multitude of) staff are helpful enough - a couple are even cheerful and friendly - and are generally very patient with sometimes difficult customers.  However, waits are long and the store can get very crowded and, it has to be said, smelly.  I decided to go with my surgery's scheme whereby my prescription slips are sent straight through - thinking that this would save waiting time as I hate crowded places and am very sensitive to odours.  Unfortunately, after a several weeks of this, I've found that as often as not I turn up hoping just to collect, and am told that "The pharmacist still has to check this and there's a 45 minute wait."  I've now gone back to collecting the scripts from the surgery and will probably tie in filling them with my weekly supermarket shop.
