This branch should be closed down, staff unwilling to help and total chaos. McDonald’s down the road is run far better than this bank. Had money stuck in deposit machine and instead of getting it sorted immediately had to wait for a good 45 minute for then be told someone would contact me once it has been rectified. Money did eventually land into the account however nobody did contact as promised. Also they refused to open my mother in law a bank account despite having all documents, claiming that they needed some more proof of address even though I did show them a NHS letter, went 3mt down the road and opened in 15 minutes with HSBC. Wonder why all branches are closing and hope this one is next on the list.
Barely competent on any level. Some of the staff have a nice line in passive / aggressive and patronising behaviour. Expect to be shunted around from pillar to post, and for the simplest things to take absolutely ages.
Been there yesterday and I have to say that this branch lacks the minimum standards of being professional. Very disorganised, lady with green top was at the front with no name badge to display seem to be forced to come to work as her attitude towards customers is all passive aggression. I wanted to deposit a cheque but the way I was treated as a customer was shocking first they told me no need for queueing and I can just fill a form since it is international deposit then hand it to the lady at the front. When I approached the lady at the front she got really annoyed and told I need to go back to my original queue!!! This my experience but i have seen this lady at the front being rude to other people as well in a very passive aggressive way. Such a shame that Lloyds bank have now come to standard where customer service is almost non existent.
Such an awful bank. No sign saying customer service. So hanging around looking for a staff member. Ended up seeing a random woman sitting at a huge table, with a tiny tablet. No name badge. Then got told to sit down. Along with the other 7 people waiting. After 20mins some young man came over, with the tiny tablet. No private room to talk. Just in front of the other people waiting. Such a huge space, used badly. Very tired chairs. No official customer service area. Really tempted to close my accounts.
The manageress was very helpful and patient, staff polite. Good experience.
Self service is not the future, it’s unpredictable, unreliable, and is a poor substitute, nearly always needing assistance from a human interaction, very nice welcome from a lady to try and transition changes away from the manned tills, today but it’s not for me at all it takes longer to queue at the self service than the faster moving queue for actual service! Having just lost the local branch on St Johns, accessibility and service is diminishing at quite a rate, would completely avoid if I could, but all banks are the same. It’s the staff and customers that suffer.
Horrible people working. I turned up wanting to swap my graduate Account to a student Account as i am still a student. I Drove! Wasted my time And petrol only to be told That they dont accept proof from my phone? And That i Cant email them forward? I HAVE the proof. Also the woman in the meet And greet area completely ignored me And was Chatting away with every other customer who turned up. Lots of flyers And audio about respecting staff. But how about respecting And valuing customers? AND their time?
I'm sure the clerks are doing the best they can considering it's a very understaffed location but boy, what a mess. I went to do some menial requests as I couldn't do them online who knew and it took nearly 30 minutes to be seen. Four teller locations and two workers there seeing people. I then went to Metro Bank down the road to do the same request ordering a checkbook and I walked up to the front, and they even printed it off for me then and there! Was out the door within 5 minutes. If you're really loyal to Lloyds, fine, but, there are better experiences out there on the high street.
I went into this branch today just to get two mini bank statements from the ATM machine , For some reason the bank has removed the seating which were their ,I did ask one of the assistants,I was told that their doing a refit on the bank ,I always use the paying in machine when I get My wages ,I found the seatting very useful for when I wanted to sort my money out ,As the only other seats were up the other end ,Please can you put the seats back again
Am not sure why we need a bank like this in the town, I went there to get a letter that was quiet important , the lady who I approached to chat with said that’s not possible, explained her I just moved here and never had this problem with the Loyds bank before, always been very helpful.her approach towards to me was not acceptable. She didn’t take the time to listen to me and let me explain the important of my letter. So contacted customer service and they are very helpful. I went to Tiptree branch and the staff are wonderful there and very helpful. The lady in question in Colchester needs to go for some training to learn her job and how to interact with customers.
