We used Fosters Financials as our mortgage advisors and as first time buyers we couldn’t fault them. Tara was our mortgage advisor and she is truly amazing and so helpful with everything especially as a first time buyer and with any question I had she was always there to talk us through it all and made the whole process super easy and smooth. Best money ever spent, definitely saved us some headaches.
I was very unsure whether we could get what we wanted from a lender and Tara was really good at asking the right questions and reassuring me. I spoke to a different broker from another company but when I spoke to Tara it felt different like she knew what she was talking about. Tara is true to her word and she has not let me down. She is very particular in a good way as ultimately it sped up the process to our full mortgage offer. Henri was excellent too and they make a great team. Tara, thank you for always being wonderful, staying true to your word and showing that you genuinely want to see people win. We got our mortgage offer and couldn't be more grateful
The team at Fosters provided a high level of service, answering any questions we had pretty much on the spot, working with us around our working hours and chasing whoever was needed to speed things up. Daniel being the star of the show going beyond and even checking in on us to see how we were doing after the mortgage was finalised. Lovely team who will be recommended to all.
I have dealt with John Foster since he was an independent advisor back in 2013 and since then I have taken out countless more with the help from Travis over the years who is very professional and a joy to work with and makes everything really easy. Plus the quick response to any email queries I have I always highly recommend Foster Financial
We’re very happy that we found Fosters Financial for our mortgage services. Our broker Tara John was superb and explained everything thoroughly and clearly, and she was highly communicative throughout. We’re delighted with our mortgage offer. As a doctor in the NHS, my partner’s income is variable and a bit complex, but this was not a problem. We were so impressed by how quickly Tara was able to get us the full mortgage offer after we had an offer accepted on a property. Our vendor refused to take the property off the market until the complete mortgage offer was in place and Tara and our case handler Zoe were such a great help, submitting the full mortgage application the same day our offer was accepted by the vendor. The full mortgage offer from the bank was soon in our inboxes - thank you so much! Tara is highly knowledgeable and a great source of advice, which we really appreciated as first time buyers.
Travis and Gemma at Fosters Financial have been absolutely brilliant, and have recently secured me both a buy to let and a residential mortgage as a freelancer in my 50s! They've been proactive, friendly and super responsive at every stage, removing as much stress as possible from the process. Highly recommended.
Appalling service and advice. We were recommended to Foster's Financial by our estate agents after having an offer accepted on a property. Daniel B advised us and proceeded to a mortgage application very quickly, within a few days of initial contact. For reference, we had a 25% deposit and no credit issues. After several weeks our mortgage application was rejected. The following day we were then dropped as clients by Foster's due to 'compliance issues'. We were not told the issue and they gave us no indication to any problem. As myself and my partner are employees for a family business, Daniel was asking questions related to the business and wanted to see company account information, including profit and loss accounts, tax and registration documents. As first time buyers we obliged thinking that these documents were necessary. However since we are only employees, Daniel had no right to ask for these documents and we have now been informed by multiple professionals he broke various GDPR laws. He furthermore asked us to submit company accounts early, and for even more company accounts for previous years. He continually stated that we would not be credit checked for the mortgage application, which didn't make sense to us. Upon checking our credit scores following the rejection, only my partner had been checked and I had not been. On top of this, we had arranged and rearranged several appointments with Daniel to sort life insurance, but each time he either had to cancel or failed to call us. After being dropped as clients, we spoke with another mortgage broker, and they managed to arrange a mortgage offer within 2 weeks. Speaking with both our solicitor and broker, they have informed us to make a formal complaint with the FCA as Foster's have made various failings and broken GDPR laws. We have also been struggling to get any replies to a full refund, which Daniel told us would be sorted when we were dropped as clients. I could not recommend either John Foster Managing Direcor, Daniel B or Foster's Financial any less. The experience has been awful and added more stress and anxiety on what is already a stressful event.
