I have never met a worse GP before, I have had different doctors and we have never had any problems getting seen by a doctor, there was no talk of a phone call or referring the patient to a pharmacy where the pharmacy refers them back to the GP saying about antibiotics. Today I delivered an important document regarding a 3 year old who should be examined by a doctor for further tests but what I heard was that I had to do an econsult, my question is why? Because everything is described in black and white...
Pitsamai Jacobs is from Thailand and she has trouble reading English. After 2 hours of trying to enter the e consult she walked the 200 yards to the surgery. Only to be told she has to register on e consult. She was at the surgery. Why the hell couldn’t you make her an appointment.?. Ask yourself how you would get on making a doctors appointment in Bangkok!!. Disgusted
I didn't think this place could get worse but surprise surprise it has…..nnSecond time using your new system- both times no one has even got back to me!?nnBoth times for a child and the most recent one is for an unwell child that has been generally unwell for over two weeks!!!nnCan’t make an appointment over the phone for some outrageous reason and get ignored if you do an econsult ?nnWhat are the steps I need to take to getting help from a doctor ? for a child that has been unwell for 2 weeks ?nnAs asked in the econsult ‘how would you like us to help you today?’ Well just seeing someone to do a general health check on my daughter would be a fabulous start…..But you shouldn’t need me to tell you that !!!!!!nnShocking!
Dear Mystery Patient Experience Manager,nnI'm not interested in receiving one of your half-hearted responses to this review, as I'm not seeking a lukewarm apology, nor does this review require a reply.nnI'm utterly appalled by this practice and have been for many years. How can you accurately assess someone's illness through an e-consult and a telephone call? Don't you believe that physical examination is necessary for a proper diagnosis? Moreover, your e-consult, which you've now made a permanent fixture since COVID, is utterly useless. Every time I've filled one out, I find myself fabricating answers because if I provide the wrong information, I'm then instructed to call 111 as it's deemed an emergency. Furthermore, the majority of your receptionists exhibit an attitude of disdain for their job coupled with laziness, often directing me back to the e-consult.nnWhat prompted me to leave this review is the fact that I've been extremely unwell since last Sunday 30th March. I'm currently suffering from a severe cough/flu/chest infection, which I'm still battling, with persistent yellow & green mucus coming from my chest, throat & nose. Following your advice, I filled out an e-consult, only to be told by the doctor over the phone without seeing me that antibiotics weren't necessary and to stay hydrated. Now, you might argue that there's a prevalent bug going around and everyone is unwell. To that, I say it's unacceptable! Unless your doctors possess X-ray vision and can diagnose me from your practice to my home, how can you accurately gauge the severity of my illness? Why do I have to endure ANOTHER week totaling two weeks of illness before receiving proper treatment? Additionally, I've also suffered from tonsillitis multiple times, which unsurprisingly resulted in nothing but a phone call instructing me to stay hydrated. Do any of your doctors actually see patients, or do they just sit around on the phone advising people to stay hydrated while they're practically incapacitated?nnBy the looks of things, the majority of your patients are extremely unhappy with your services, but it appears as though the only thing you have to offer is an apology lacking sincerity. I could go on, but anything further I express will likely go unnoticed & unheard.... but one can only hope for swift improvement though, realistically, we both know it's unlikely.nnHave a mediocre day...nnP.S. I would give this practice 0 stars if I could.
No care given at this practice what so ever. My elderly mother called who was in lots of pain, did an econsult with receptionist on the phone who took all her details down and was told a Doctor would call her back the next day or following day.....No call!nWhen my stepfather who had an appt, at your practice for shortness of breath, he saw a doctor who listened to his chest and then was told to come back in 2 weeks time for a blood test and to get his own X-ray at RSH. Why was the blood test not done on the day he saw the GP?! I remember the good old days, it be roll up your sleeve and have it done whilst you at your appt with GP.!nMy stepfather got his own Xray and bloods done at the hospital, we chased the results with you but NO-ONE ever got back to us with the results.nThe 2 weeks that followed after GP appt he continued to be unwell and could barely walk because he was so short of breath, still no results back from you despite NOK calling you.nIn the end we cut out the middle man GP and went to ED at Southampton, where they were brilliant, they admitted him , his Sats were terribly low and he put on IV steroids. One month after this he sadly passed away. I can't help but wonder if you had acted quicker we might have had longer with him. To this day 18 months later we have never had the blood results and x-ray results back from you. You had no input in his care when he needed you and you seem to be continuing in this way by not calling back my elderly mother.nAbsolutely shocking the amount of 1 stars you have, but I am not surprised!nWish you would have a rethink and start caring for your local patients.
