I would never have thought I'd be so impressed by the service provided by a car dealership that I would go to the effort of reviewing them, without being asked to, but the team at Livery Dole are just brilliant. I have bought two cars from them and they have gone above and beyond in the service provided. They are so considerate and professional, and total experts. I love my PHEV and feel so supported and looked after by the team - I can go to them with any issues and they make it so painless to sort out. Outstanding customer service, outstanding expertise, and generally very good, kind human beings.
I’ve previously bought two vehicles from Livery Dole - one before the fairly recent management buy out and one after. My first purchase was trouble free within the warranty period and I was fully covered for a faulty exhaust and a replacement Sat Nav system. However, Livery Dole has since had a management buy out and I found out too late that my second vehicle’s warranty is much more limited. With my second purchase, in October 2022, I made clear that I would only be buying a second hand vehicle as long as I could buy an extended warranty to cover repairs like turbos, fuel injectors, DPFs. I saw no paperwork for this 3 year “Platinum” extended warranty until after full payment and the extended warranty has many exclusions, an individual claims limit of £1500 including parts, labour and VAT and total claims with the extended warranty period cannot exceed the initial purchase price of the vehicle. This was simply not explained before my purchase and I would not have bought either the vehicle or extended warranty had I been made aware. I was in the process of negotiating my third purchase, in November 2022, and asked to see draft warranty paperwork before I made full payment to collect the vehicle. This was not provided and I had to investigate the potential terms and conditions and then ask the salesperson if what I’d found out was the case. The actual extended warranty was again not as verbally described prior to paying the deposit on the vehicle. I therefore asked for my deposit to be refunded and to cancel the purchase. I then received a surprise “in person” visit from the salesperson to my home address to hand deliver a letter explaining that Livery Dole pride themselves on their customer service and that “surely I was aware that every pre-owned vehicle will have to come with a claim limit”. I found this approach to be intimidating as I am a female living alone. Unfortunately I’m tied to this garage for a few years yet with a pre paid 3 service plan with my second vehicle although I’d never wish to use them or buy from them again and I’m sure they’d rather not deal with me either. If only their CrystalClear extended warranty terms and limitations were explained in a crystal clear fashion by their sales staff then this could all have been avoided. If this review helps one person to not make the mistake of taking the salesperson’s response of “yes, that’s all covered” at face value then that’s something.
Never anyone available to talk to as the staff are always dealing with something else. Wanted to test drive a car, but was told I'd have to wait at least to half an hour. Also the print out we were given of the car we wanted had images of a completely different car.

This is the second vehicle ive bought from livery Dole it is always an excellant experience both vehicles have been dealt with by sales exec James Gray he's a lovely chap very knowledgable and know his product inside out i would highly reccomend livery Dole for boyh service and price 5 star Guys

Bought an older legacy from them. Max was very helpful. Car was really great condition and clean. Had one small issue with warning light coming on intermittently, no more than to be expected on an older vehicle! no quibbles straight in to diagnose issue.. so great after sales service as well..yes would highly recommend to be trusted.
Can honestly say after todays visit I can’t see me returning anytime soon. Quick back ground as to why. ! On booking my car last week. I was told to bring my drivers license. No mention off anything else. Arrived today to be told I needed National insurance details. Fully understand why. Courtesy car required. All I can say at this point. The customer service went down hill. Attitude and self importance from I believe the service manager. Yes I was slightly annoyed at not been given all the correct information. For this I apologised. However the attitude continued. On collecting my car later in the day. The same customer services person. Was still sullen and moody. Poor customer service. By one individual who has single handed lost a customer. Annual mileage 50,000.
I part exchanged my Mercedes for a Mitsubushi Shogun Sport 2018 model. The salesman Max and his manager Joe could not have been more helpful. There was no pressure involved in the buying experience. I could not make my mind up between 2 vehicles, so Max took me out for a test drive in both, until I was happy with my choice. Also recommended the 3 year warranty/service plan which is a brilliant add on. When I went to collect my new vehicle it was looking immaculate showroom condition. I have since used the vehicle to tow my caravan & I can honestly say its the best tow vehicle I have ever driven. I would recommend this company to anyone. Well done and thanks again. After much deliberation, we recently bought a used Subaru Imprezo. Even though it was one of the least expensive cars on the forecourt, we were treated like royalty. They ensured the car was in perfect working order before we drove it away. Max gave great advice and was very patient with us in all of our deliberations. Will definately be returning for our next purchase.
