Nicer than the old bus station but toilets don’t open until 9am!!! Considering buses are leaving from 6am & some bus journeys over an hour, this is unacceptable. Toilet facilities should be provided as long as the buses are running.nAlso buses disappear from departure boards at scheduled departure time even if they have not left yet & there is no help point to ask about the status of a bus that has not turned up
I visited the newly built Stagecoach Bus Station adjacent to the old one which has now closed. From a transport integration view I thought it was well laid out, safe for customers and has clear timetable and stand /destination displays. The 'departure lounge' seating area on each stand was a nice touch but woefully inadequate on busier routes. The help centre was nice with maps and timetables, even a book swap bus and seating were available. There are vending machines and toilets that you have to pay for. I found it easy and safe to transit from bus to bus... And the station is only a five minute walk to the main shopping areas.
Very clean but the disabled toilet was out of action on both occasions we have been there was also a group of homeless outside who were drunk and being abusive towards people entering the bus station which doesn't give a good impression
No toilets around after 8pm how are people supposed to wait before a long bus journey
This no longer exists and all buses go from the NEW and fresh looking bus station which has a good review from my point of ew- there are now 2 stops for National Express, Megabus and Flex bus with no information or staff
