Personally I was very confused when I came on here to find a number of 5* reviews when this accomodation really does not live up to the expectations nor does it justify the weekly cost. The washing machines are constantly broken leaving us forced to use the ones at Myrtle St and even they aren’t working some of the time. It’s a rarity to find all 4 washers/dryers working at the same time. As well as this, it’s quite clear to see that the staff haven’t bothered in the slightest to clean/prepare our flats upon arrival as the paintwork is peeling, our kitchen lights didn’t work and took weeks to be fixed and there is dust literally everywhere. On top of that, they don’t even provide us with the basic living facilities hoover microwave kettle etc. Honestly would avoid choosing here if you can
Really badly run, at first glance seems nice, spacious modern rooms. Now been living here for months and realising it’s not worth the money. They are awful at dealing with complaints. Personally had some things broken in my room and it took them 4 weeks to do anything about it. The wifi is incredibly slow and always cuts out, I spend half my time using data. Don’t even get me started on the washing machines. There was a point when only one washing machine was working for the whole apartment block, myself and other tenants emailed about this and it took them weeks to do anything about it. I’m currently writing this complaint because I have just gone down to do my washing after emailing about 1 machine being broken a couple days ago to find all 4 washing machines completely out of order. Went to the neighbouring building whose washing machines are tiny and take coins only and only one of theirs was working too!! This isn’t a one off occasion it’s happening constantly and nothings being done. I know other tenants are just as angry as I am.
*Changed from a 5 Star Review* Ok so firstly, when I got here I was fairly impressed I was fooled by a façade. The central location and convenient facilities among a reasonable cost makes it a good accommodation but.... There are a number of CRITICAL issues that I have to say I never experienced at other places. I think the standard has gone down especially in the last couple of months: 1 I reported a broken TV 5 weeks ago FOUR separate times and nobody has done a thing about it, nor have they even shown a response to it. In my opinion this itself is outrageous. 2 Laundry machines break on a weekly basis, making it super inconvenient. 3 Reception staff have stopped being available during the advertised times, if it's staffing issues, I seriously don't care what it is, just sort it out or tell us that the reception won't be available most of the week in advance... 4 Fire alarms are outrageous. There have been a couple of 1am fire alarms that have gone off, and they went off multiple times on a weekly basis before giving students a false sense of security since they now just don't react to the alarms. In the last few weeks this has got better but in my first few months it was horrendous. 5 They didn't clean up after the previous tenants, even after I asked them to. The previous tenants just left bedsheets and all sorts of garbage in the kitchen/living... cleaners made 0 effort to clean any of it and I had to clean EVERYTHING myself. Overall, I still don't know why I find this place ok, probably because of its great location and good flatmates. But make no mistake, the standard is absolutely awful, not worth the cost and something needs to be done urgently to bring this place to a better standard. NB: I also want to add to people looking to go here, do not, do not, I repeat, DO NOT book a room that faces the inner courtyard. There is a total lack of privacy, lack of sunlight and a room facing the outside is worth the extra cost please believe me on that.
Found dirty old clothes tucked away behind bed. Most things don't work. Clearners obviously need to find a new proffesion as on arrival was dirty and full of dust. They don't provide basic items, which for the price is a little bit odd. Reception is barely open, the company seems to have seemingly forgot about us. Whoever gave a 5 star and 4 star review, obviously do not live here or there blind.
Amazing student accommodation. Large rooms for a great price. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Sam who has gone out his way to make sure we get a room here with very short notice due to our original place getting cancelled.
