Nice toilets. Try the connect4 and pool tables. Boulders should be allowed to people. Lord Matthew is my king. Tyre puzzle is easy. forgot to do Obstruction course. Less teaching more activity would be fun.
I went there on Duke of Edinburgh practise and the site was facilitated well with cooking areas and toilets. There is enough space for 30 people easily and the other activities like archery and crafts you can do look good but I couldn't try them out unfortunately
Just visited with my 9 year old. He and I absolutely loved it. The archery was great. With little games and contests. Absolutely brilliant time
Fabulous place, especially for children and young adults to experience climbing, canoeing, archery, team building, bushcraft, outdoor cooking, conservation and arts & crafts. And so much more. Mirfield Duke of Edinburgh is based here, school activity days, residentials and adult team building days all catered for. It's truly a hidden gem.
We visited the Christmas fayre. What a lovely afternoon; archery, rock climbing, tombolas, glitter tattoos, a cafe, stalls, boat rides...! The list goes on! All very reasonably priced and lovely welcoming people. Will make this an annual tradition! Xxx
What a fabulous place.Went here with#open country to do bush craft and archery. We met Bon and Oliver who were running the events of the day.They explained everything brilliantly as we had some people with various disabilities.The bush craft was first which we learnt how to make a fire and use a Kelly kettle, which enabled us to make a coffee.After lunch We had a good natured game if archery, with more cups of tea and coffee.Little Deer wood is an absolutely fabulous tranquil place,great for children and adults.
Brilliant to say it is free the weekend was action packed. Good for team building as well as DofE which it especially designed for. All activities are made so that anyone can do it e.g disabled or inexperienced.
All kinds of activities for everyone, with strong emphasis on allowing disabled to be involved with different activities. Archery, canoeing, rock climbing etc, and lots of challenges to use the brain.
Had a fantastic time doing the Curry Barn at the Christmas Fayre for D of E in shepley bridge Marina, everyone was great, helping all that needed help, Hope to do it again next year
Great day out or your whole Duke of Edinburgh award. Excellent staff, great space, loads of fun
