Lion Inn

This review is an edited version of the original which was five star. Since my last review there as been a change of ownership and where the food is still good value for money with a decent selection of ales the shelves behind the bar has no stock just glasses with a poorly stocked fridge. Stacey is as polite and efficient as ever, on my last visit for the first time in over ten years the gents toilet smelt like a public toilet and the manager (Paul) was the one to bring the subject up. All Paul wanted to do was joke that the cleaner was responsible, but when challenged had no interest other than his girlfriend and considering they had just completed their lunch had no interest promptly left the premises. Not the reaction expected, wonder if his employer is aware. Overall verdict very disappointed

Lovely food good atmosphere and priced very fairly. Plenty to do for children with big back garden and park also chickens. Staff polite and friendly would recommend to any one.
