First time here on Saturday 30th Sept. Wife and I really enjoyed our visit. Village pub decor with the most comfortable leather sofas. Great range of ales on tap and nice to get a decent pint for under £3. Open til 1am and, as a parent out on date night with the missus, it was nice to be in a pub with no kids running around.

It seems if a certain lady is working then it is hell on earth if we speak above a whisper, I have used this pub for over 30 years and the last 6 months the so called manageress has been very impolite blunt and sarky, there are people who swear and are abusive but she says nothing to them, think it's time to find a pub where banter is allowed, if your a friend you can do whatever you want if you are a paying customer who she does not like you will suffer with bad service and sarky remarks,, just my take on a pub that I throw a lot of money over the bar when I am in it. And I forgot to mention I have never had anyone say to me that I or my friends have personally upset them, also only ever seen people eating in the downstairs bar when a party is on,

The easiest pub to find in Shifnal, simply look for the bright painted building when you are on A464. Good atmosphere, good service, good food.
