I cannot thank Tony from Linton Kennels enough, we booked a local cottage then found no dogs allowed and Tony allowed us to board at night and pick back up in the morning so we could have our dog join in our holiday day trips. Our 12 year old yorkshire terrier had never boarded before but felt at ease with Tony who was patient with a first time boarder Mum who needed to settle in and reassure our dog we would be back in the morning, after the first night we picked up a happy well adjusted dog in the morning so job well done! The kennels are super clean and smell of disinfectant and nothing else, which was lovely. ...we developed a car problem and Tony rang a local garage for us and gave us hydraulic fluid until we could buy our own. We are delighted with our experience of Linton Kennels and would recommend. Thanks Tony, Jeannie and Paul..and Kim the dog!!!
Tony and Linda are passionate about the care they show the dogs in their care. As well as the kennels They are also heavily involved with rescue work, qhi h can quite often be a thankless task. They are one of the few I would trust with my own dogs, and their kennelling fees are very reasonable
We arrived a little late to collect our dog. We had attempted to contact the kennel owners on over 20 occasions to inform them, with no success. When we arrived, we politely appologised and explained that long journeys with our disabled son can be unpredictable and challenging. The response of the cold and miserable woman who owns the place was that a child's disability gave us no 'excuse' to be late all the time. Furthermore, our dog absolutely stank and howled and whimpered all the way home. I would eat my own foot before allowing this woman anywhere near my pet again. It is a shame that the rating doesn't extend into negative numbers. Heed my warning, find somewhere else or cancel your holiday. *** Further to the owners response. I would like to thank you for confirming the blatantly discriminatory attitude you held on the day. From the outset you were made aware that our son was autistic and that long journeys were a problem. The Equality Act 2010 demands that services make reasonable adjustments to limit disadvantage. In this instance, it can take time before our son is ready to undertake a journey. Your reference to our 'record' of being late, is also a reference to the awareness you had of our situation. One would hope that such awareness would encourage a more human response. In fact it would be perfectly reasonable to epext this. Unfortunately your inflexible behaviour and derrogatory remarks do not reflect this hope in the slightest. FYI there is a record of 23 calls made, from my phone, to your number on the day in question. Not everyone who works is miserable, in fact the opposite is true.
Fantastic people, caring and have all the time in the world for you and your dogs.
Lovely compassionate, hard working people helping dogs and other animals in need.
