Having read some of the negative reviews, I have to say I have never experienced any type of of unfavourable behaviour from any of the staff members. I was actually quite shocked by the statements made about the security staff but especially Phil , every time I visit he has a smile on his face and he is extremely welcoming. He’s always courteous, helpful , professional and friendly when I’ve had to ask him something, actually I have found all the staff to be like that.nIn ref to the comments about in store staff , sometimes it’s our own off days which we are mirroring to others and blaming them for us feeling bad .nGreat friendly shop with affordable products.
There is something wrong with their meat. I bought some minced beef two days ago and it's already all brown even if it's still within their best before date and it was refrigerated. This is not the first time this happens.
I have just been racially profiled in this shop. I have never ever felt this embarrassed in my life and I hope i never. A security guy at the shop approached me and asked me to open my back pack as if i was only person with back pack. The difference is I was the only black person with back pack. I asked why? But I complied. I had just bought Sangria and Cider from the tescos near by. I was asked to proof where I got the sangria from because they do the same. But common sense should tell them where is the pack of cider also coming from? Well I had my receipt and showed it to them and walked out but with anger and pain in my heart. I’m not entering any other Lidl again because I can’t change the colour of my skin
Like the store and we like the prices but the store could do with updating and adding some self checkout, the queues for the tills is always a drain.
Fairly well stocked. Generally keenly priced for their own branded goods. Seems like they only stock other brands .... to market their own!
