Just wow! What a amazing store with everything you can could ever imagine all under one roof! The management clearly have tidy OCD as there is literally not one thing out of place! 10/10 store, well done
My go-to place for dried pulses, as they have a great selection which are competitively priced. It's also a great place to pick up things which I haven't tried before. The fruit and veg section offers a few different things; tried mooli recently, which is really versatile, including pickled!
I popped into this lovely supermarket today and honestly, it was such a refreshing experience. The shop was spotless, beautifully laid out, warm and welcoming — the sort of place where food shopping actually feels enjoyable rather than stressful. The staff were so polite and helpful.nnIt really made me realise how different the experience can be compared to many of the big supermarket chains these days. So often in places like Tesco or Sainsbury’s, it feels like you’re navigating barriers, security gates, self-checkout supervision, and constant interruptions. Shopping can start to feel transactional and uncomfortable and not pleasant.nnThis place was the complete opposite — just friendly, clean, welcoming. A genuinely lovely experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back.

It feels like stepping into a global food market under one roof.nnAs a Muslim, it’s such a relief to shop somewhere where everything is clearly halal. The meat section is outstanding — fresh halal meats, high-quality cuts, and especially the chicken. One of the best parts is the fresh chicken shawarmas made right in front of you. Watching it being prepared and sliced fresh makes it taste even better!nnThe staff are always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help if you’re looking for something specific. The atmosphere feels warm and community-focused.nnDuring Ramadan, the shop becomes even better with huge discounts and special offers, making it easier for families to prepare for iftar and suhoor without overspending. They really understand the community and what we need during the holy month.nnHighly recommend Makkah to anyone looking for authentic halal food, amazing service, and great prices. I bought a bottle of chilli sauce for £1.49, and open d at home on Friday night 16/01/2026, but unfortunately it wasn't to our taste, and decided today Saturday 17/01/2026 to return it to the shop and see if it could be swapped for a different brand and was quite happy to buy a couple of other things. I spoke to 2 lads at the back of th tills, and they went off on one, quizzing me tomthe point I was made to feel uncomfortable and threatened. Clearly they need educating on customer service and customer satisfaction as I did not see or hear a single word of kindness, professional attitude or care in the world, and eventually I had to leave the bottle and the receipt on their d ek and storm out very unhappy and quite angry. I have been shopping there for the past year for the odd exotic items here and there, and I could see a lot wrong with their mannerism, but tolerated it, but this incident tpufht me a lesson, not to step a foot in there for the rest of my days. The pitty this is the cost of th chilli sauce bottle was £1.49, so how much would it have cost the business to replace it?? Not a lot, but they chose to lose a customer, not very intelligent is it.
