Lidl is manipulating its customers.nFirst, they changed in-store prices to red font, which subconsciously makes people perceive them as DISCOUNTS- which is simply not true. It’s a marketing trick designed to make customers feel like they’re getting a better deal than they actually are.nnAnd what Lidl has done with its loyalty program goes even further.nIt used to be simple: you spend a certain amount and get a real percentage discount that could genuinely save you tens of pounds. Now they’ve introduced a points system that looks attractive, but in reality offers only a fraction of the previous benefits.nnThe mechanism is clever: instead of a clear discount, you “collect points,” creating an illusion of reward. Customers feel like they’re gaining something, but when you actually calculate it, you realise you have to spend hundreds of pounds just to get a few pounds back. That’s a huge difference compared to the previous 10% discount.nn– spend £500 → get £5 offn– previously, spending £250 gave you 10% off, meaning on a £120 shop you could save around £12 and even more on bigger shops.nnSeveral months ago, I also contacted Lidl customer service with a simple product-related question regarding whether your meat products contain curing salt nitrite, and I never received any response. This lack of communication is disappointing for a company of this size.nnLidl- the cynicism you show in your advertising is hard to believe. Today I’m uninstalling the app and stopping using your services. I would advise every consumer to do the same.nnPeople! Don’t let yourselves be misled.nnI hope Lidl corporation’s days are numbered and that people will stop shopping with you!
Visited Lidl — still the older store design, which is fine, but the main thing missing is self-service checkouts. If you’re just popping in for a couple of items, you often end up queuing for quite a while during busier periods. Staff are friendly and efficient, but adding self-service would really improve convenience.
Lidl is alot better than it was a few years ago, you find some well known top brands, plus their brands which is just as good and you save a fortune
Love this place it has a real exelptic range of food, toiletries and bakery
This is the nearest lidl to the towncentre of dudley as all lidl's great deals and budget shopping and what can you say about the middle isle but wierd, wonderfull and cheap, shame there are about 4-5 of the competion Aldi in or near town but only this Lidl......!!!!
