My experience at Lidl today was nothing short of chaos.nThe queuing system was a complete shambles. Customers were directed to one till, only for it to be abruptly closed and another opened elsewhere, forcing everyone to drag their shopping across the store. This happened repeatedly. There was no clear communication, no organisation, and no visible management control.nStaff looked overwhelmed and visibly distressed. At one point, a member of staff appeared to be on the verge of tears. Customers were openly swearing out of frustration. The atmosphere was tense and volatile. It genuinely felt like it was one wrong comment away from kicking off.nMost concerning of all, I witnessed two people simply walk out without paying because they had reached breaking point with the situation. That is how badly this was being handled. When your queue management is so poor that customers abandon the process entirely, something has gone very wrong.nThis was not a minor inconvenience. It was a failure of basic operational management. A supermarket should be able to manage peak periods without descending into disorder. Serious improvements are needed in staffing, queue coordination, and floor supervision before this turns into something far worse than angry shoppers.
Lacking it lots of produce today - strawberries, raspberries, Italian sub rolls and fresh flowers to name just a few.nnLots of parking. Inpost lockers available here too. Public toilet never work.
Disappointing treatment from cashier. A small, blonde, older lady with glasses to be exact. Excellent treatment to the customer before me, super friendly, kind and helpful, who happened to be ambulance staff. However, when it was my turn, completely ignored me, didn't greet me back, was rude and impatient and made me feel very uncomfortable. I wonder if it is because I don't have the status of the previous customer perhaps. True character is evident by how you treat people with no status dear lady and to be quite honest your behaviour is shameful. No human has the right to treat another human this way.
I been here and best here thing is manager he very much is nice hard working and has just so much good customer service plz if everyone give respect him plz and lidl can come down to everyone plz chears
My mum bought an 89p pack of Lidl’s own brand digestives from here recently that were manufactured wrong and were a poor product. Returned today to ask for a replacement and the manager refused the replacement over “no receipt”. Whilst I can understand a receipt would have been helpful, who would bother to fabricate a story for 89p? The packet was full besides the two she ate whilst discovering the biscuits weren’t baked right.nnRather than just swapping out the packet and providing good customer service, the manager was rude and denied her any help. Neither she nor I will be shopping here again, so congratulations on losing two people’s lifetime spends over 89p
