Old Lidl. In general it's not much different from the others, but there are no self-service checkouts. Toilet is often very dirty, once there someone poured all over the toilet. A week of draught cuisine often the assortment is small. Very often there are inadequate people in this particular Lidl. And often the baked goods are not very fresh.
Happy to have this shop within walking distance. Mike is always friendly although the installation of some self-service tills would be a good idea and would speed up checkout times.
There is a fantastic yoghurt. It’s a bit expensive but very tasty plain yoghurt.nYou sometimes supposed to wait and wait for the till. I hope Lidl add here some self-checkout soon, otherwise there are long queues.
Nice clean store just needs more options for the bits and bobs Isles as I call them with the tools and other stuff in. But good though
I recently had an unpleasant experience. After visiting a Sainsbury's, we proceeded to this branch of Lidl. Upon exiting Lidl, their barcode scanner detected an item we had purchased from Sainsbury's. Consequently, a cashier requested to inspect our belongings. She scanned the item and before we say something she immediately ACCUSED US OF ATTEMPTING TO STEAL IT. This accusation was highly embarrassing as it drew the attention of all the other customers waiting at the tilt and some of them had already started laughing at us. We then explained that the product was from Sainsbury's, not Lidl. She consulted her superior and eventually confirmed that everything was in order. SUCH DIRECT ACCUSATION SHOULD NOT BE MADE. Instead, she should have first inquired, “have you purchased this item from somewhere else ?” If the customer cannot provide proof, only then should an accusation be made.nnI believe it would be prudent to train your staff on how to appropriately communicate with customers.
