Much more expensive than other Morrison's stores just because its Stone. Recently, every time I've visited its smelled like rotten meat throughout the shop. The toilets are disgusting and there are constantly shopping trolleys thrown in the local river which are rarely cleaned up, which could be avoided if they were fitted with a deposit lock. Do better!
Shopped there last week. Horrible smell of rotten meat all round store. No counters open due to problem with water. As usual badly stocked and dates on fruit and veg were for that day or day after. Bought carrots and went to get them for Sunday lunch and had to throw them away as they were black. This store really needs sorting out .
A very busy Sunday morning .nValentine's Day on people's minds !nnGreat selection of fruit and vegetables. Excellent quality braising steak and some sea bass on offer 3 packs for £10.nnNot much to tempt me in the bakery bread wise. Bought a multi grain brown loaf.nnHad a good offer to use with 20% off a shop!nnWish the aisles were wider . It always feels so cramped .nnAmazing valentine's flowers at great prices and some good offers on chocolates too.
Great compact store, all happy to help
We visited Morrisons in Stone Staffed twice while visiting our friends over the weekend. The first time was on Saturday 1-6-24 we ordered build your own breakfast which consisted of 2 rashers bacon, 2 sausage, 1 fried egg, 2 black pudding, 1 mushroom with fried bread and a pot of tea. We paid at the machine took a table number and sat down. My husband went and collected the cups and hot water at the counter then we waited for our meals.nThe waiter brought the two meals over and left. When we looked at the meal everything was there apart from the sausages. My husband called the waiter and asked where were the sausage, he replied, there aren’t any, we have run out, but it’s ok he has given you extra bacon. There were 2 rashers of bacon as ordered, no extra. My husband didn’t want to make a fuss so we ate what we had, which was rather dried and not very appetising, I wasn’t at all happy about the fact we had paid for sausages but didn’t have any. No refund was offered. My fried bread was a crust that was so hard it was almost impossible to cut and eat.nWhy did the ordering app not say that the sausages were unavailable so we could have ordered something else in their place?nnOn our second visit to the store, on Monday morning 3-6-24 as we wanted breakfast before our long car journey home and only for the ease of parking we de coded to try the food again, thinking Monday morning there shouldn’t be any problem with availability..nMy husband ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich and I ordered a ham and cheese toasted sandwich both with pots of tea.and a piece of cake in a meal deal.nMy husband went and collected the hot water, cups etc and cake. While he was doing this the waitress came over and said they were sorry but they had run out of ham…so I ended up with just a cheese toastie.nI cannot believe that a cafe operating inside a large, well known supermarket can run out of two basic items.nThe eating area looks tired and worn and could and could do with some serious modernisation and the staff would benefit from training in customer service.nI have eaten in a few Morrisons cafes over the years and this one in Stone, Stafford, has to be one of the worst. We will not be returning there, sorry!
